From what I've gathered, one of the biggest problems with the Supra is it's weight. To be honest, though, my Camaro is pretty heavy itself at about 3,300 pounds and it drifts fine. It's just a little harder to keep reined in when you really get sideways.

I don't recommend drifting a daily driver (if it is one), but that's your decision. If it's a track car or if you don't mind driving something stripped down, the first thing to do would be to put the car on a diet and get rid of as much excess weight as your comfortable with. The lighter it is, the more resposive the car will be.

Well, I guess there are some questions to ask first. Is it a manual? Is it reliable? if those are both yes, then ya you can learn to drift in it.

I wouldn't recommend learning in the supra though. The supra is a great vehicle, but especially if you're new to drifting, might be a tad overpowered to learn in. If you want to learn to drift this car, I heavily recommend doing some serious autocross and learning all there is to know about how the car handles.
