taking a Lincoln mark VIII and making it a drift luxury car to see if it would work; if so how would you start and where or what to start on first. indulge me a little.

There is nothing "luxury" about a Lincoln MarkIII IMHO.

Lincoln M8 = Thunderbird with airbags.

yes the thunder bird has a remarkable appearance in the video, but it's not the same body as
the Lincolns; so to add back to what I said before hand, was about using the original shell of the Lincoln, and I might add that the thunder bird looks real good though quite different in weight distribution are far different from each other, and theirs a whole other type of suspension underneath the vehicle so i say where we go from here

It's not the same body, but the FN10 (mark8) is based on the MN12 (thundercats), but it is longer, wider and has airbag suspension. It's all ford really.

You can probably find information on plenty of sites devoted to Thunderbirds,Cougars and MarkVIIIs. Here's one - http://www.tccoa.com/

Most people on this site have 240sxs or drive a computer.

The MKVIII is a good, ballsy RWD car, but heavy as hell. Lighten it up a little bit, stiffen up the suspension, and you'll have a decent starting point.

I have being looking at the 93 to 96 models, and some told me that the 93 if I can find one would be the best choice because of the aggressive ecu exc. But someone else said it doesn't matter just get a chip upgrade and be done with it. So are the air bags not a problem; if so and say that you find one with bad air bags then what? ( to lighten it up means strip the inside out or all around the whole body of the car . thx for all the info you've given thus far it's been a real help.

The bags will allow you to keep it low, but most systems don't cycle quickly enough to be responsive under spirited driving, especially the rigors of drifting. Swap out for coilovers, or at least a shock/spring setup.

Also, you'll probably want to upgrade your rear diff. I don't know if they use open or limited-slip, but even if it's the latter it'll probably be somewhat the worse for wear by now.

Replace all the rubber crap with polyurethane. Not a necessity right off, but it helps immensely.
