  • where to start?

I'm a 16 year old car fanatic. I love drifting but cant because I don't have my own car yet and my mom would kill me (literally). I want to drift or race (track, not drag) in the future, but where can i legally learn without throwing myself in the fire, going against veterans? A little is OK but i want to learn in a learning environment, not a competition. Are there any drift days near the Tampa Bay area? I don't want to have to parking lot it and risk getting tickets.

      1986 Toyota Corolla GTS
      1989-94 Nissan 240sx
      1986-2002 Mazda Rx-7 FC/FD generations.

      Initial Items -
      Coilovers
      Real Tires
      LSD

      Learning -
You've got the right idea for someone who wants to get into drifting as a hobby not to take it into the mountains. Search the Forums or Google.com for local track days to get yourself some time behind the wheel.
