Is the 240sx truly the best car to startout with for a beginner drifter/tuner?

yes it is
but not only for beginners.... you can do alot with the car and make it a #1 drift car.. -
i partially disagree but they are truly fun cars to drift. if i had to go back in time i would buy a miata as a beginner drift car. 1 because they are light. 2 they are pritty cheap to buildOriginally posted by kcdclan View PostComment

The "best" is a relative term. A lot of cars are suitable for getting into drifting. The 240sx just has a good following and is well known. There's plenty of aftermarket support too, so you can easily upgrade the car as needed. A Miata may be a better overall choice though. It's still around and also has a healthy aftermarket following. You can use an older chassis or the newer MX5 platform.Comment
