What does "BUMP" mean?

I have tried to look at all posts with "BUMP" in this forum and club4ag and I am more confused to what is means than before.

Does it replace F**K? (F**K that = Bump that)

Is it like props to a previous post?

I could keep guessing, but what the BUMP would that help...

the default forum view is such that it puts threds with the most recent posts at the top of the list.

when people "bump" a thread they are posting arbitrarily to move it up to the top of the list so more people can see it.

Ahhhhh! That makes sense. Thanks for clueing me in. I'm new to message boards in general, not just this one.

Sorry for being the 80th person to ask about it. I tried doing a search for bump to hopefully catch one of the first 79 explinations, but obviously that didn't work out.
