  • More Horse Power?????

WHATS GOIN' ON EVERYBODY? I JUST WANTED TO ASK A QUESTION ! I ATTEMPT TO DRIFT MY 1990 300ZX NON TURBO BUT I STILL NEED MORE WORK. HOW MUCH HORSE POWER DO I NEED AT THE LEAST TO BE A BETTER DRIFTER? I'M SITTING ON ABOUT 230HP NOW IS THIS ENOUGH? OR DO I NEED MORE? IF I DO HOW MUCH AT THE LEAST?

Z32s have more than enough power to slide. What you need is practice.

You are sitting on plenty of power. Swap to a 6 spd transmission, a nice LSD, and watch your brakes. other then that the Zs are masterful! Don't worry about power. 6 spd tranny will help get you the power you want quickly. Just learn how to switch gears steer and lay on the gas at the same time. that will get you sliding nicly. I have a hard time Brake drifing in my 300, but then again my brakes are like nothing, and my rotors are warped.

Edit: spelling... sorry bad typing skills

I've butt-dragged my bike before and drifted it in the rain. Drifting is more about driver skill than horsepower. I guess you should invest in more tires and pratice.
