it's a game guys, chill out, its jus like a car shop, rice sells, it's a part of business, there's more people willing to pay for a bodykit and neons than a full sr20det motor swap because its' probaly gonna be cheaper and it looks good, people are in it for the looks...so why not have a game like that, it'll no doubtly sell due to the fact that the fast and the furious has made such a impact on the american "import" scene, if i was a video game creator or a shop owner i'd take advantage of it and sell everything thats Fast and Furious thats cheap, neons, LED nozzles, anything, it'll sell and thats how money is made

so quit your *itchin and get back to driftin
I meant as far as modding cars. I mean, muscle cars are pretty cool, but every import or sport compact or H2 you see modded looks like a *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* got a shopping spree at Pep Boys and took it out on the car.

well at first i thought it was really ghey, from like seeing the commercials and stuff, but after playing it for 2 or 3 hours and i found it is quite cool. reason being, you can have a show car thats all riced out and whatnot for the mag covers, and you can a drift/race car that is not riced at all. and you can even get sponsored by bride, which is quite cool. also, the tuning in the game is awsome..its even to the point where you can make your own fuel maps and torque curve. and the touge drifting is pretty awsome, because its not on this oil slicked bs "drift track" its actually a nice road that has dry pavement, so the drift winners are all like supras and RX-8's and 240's and the such, not civics...i hate to say it, but that game is pretty awsome. oh and you can challenge other racers to touge battles... overall i give nfsu2 an A+!!

But can't you basically only race on the mountain passes when there's a racer there and you use the outrun mode? Which means you'd have to be lucky or wait for one to come... and the race ends when you outrun the guy, not when the touge ends (and you'll either outrun him quickly or it'll end way after the touge does).

I cant believe they took the sexy new Mustang and riced it out. Its just an insult to the old school mustangs and the new retro style one. I mean, it was designed to go back to its roots unlike the 99-04 which was made more like an import to compete with sport compacts. Thats a damn shame.

what's funny is that the japanese love this stuff. they think it's trendy.

I've seen far more K-cars and station wagons with big mufflers and full body kits than I have sports cars (which are usually pretty tastefull...).

One time I saw a black station wagon with a front bumper that was at least a foot long (like it made the car 8 inches longer than it originally was).

You see fairly plain cars with big catback exhausts everywhere

(And Japan also has a special version of the first NFS: Underground with a bunch of new vinyls and crap... big deal)

is the game fun? Then who cares about vynals, neons, hydros, lambo doors, just play the game if you like it, and if it really bothers you then.......tada.......DONT BUY IT! wow, that was hard.

I think that riceing up the AE86, although not usefull in real world drifting, actually makes it look pretty cool, and it breaks away from the typical car that you see everyone driving. I mean the 86 is awesome, but because so few people put kits and such on their car, all of them look the same, so why not break away and add some personal style?

they actually have touge drift events, that start at the top and finish when you get to the bottom. its pretty awsome cause they dont do it like before and judge it just on having the tires spinning. on the touge you get lots more points if you actually apex the corners and whatnot.

yeah i really like nfsu2... its really fun if u ovelook the rice... and afterall, you dont have to rice out your car, you can make it look really clean... and the touge events are really cool and stuff... even the normal drifting events are pretty decent, and the drifting is a little more realistic than the 1st game... and i really like the whole free roaming and sponsorship things in the game...

Yes... but it's not a real battle. I played it in the demo, and it's still just a drift competition.

I wanted to be able to do downhill battles on the touge too Go fast, drift, grip, just beat the guy to the bottom). It would be neat if there was a damage penalty like in drag... if you hit the wall too hard you would flip or total your car

yes, i would have to agree, but it is still cool....and some of the later sprints run through the touge sections, which is virtually what you are talking about, just not really a limited 1-on-1 battle.
