i have a 91 240sx with sr20det, and i also have a 04 civic coupe with 410 miles on it....the 240 is having problems like Ris4drift was talking about...any car that is 10+ years old is going to have problems. i have also driven an 82 280zx 5 speed for a while, and it had its own little problems, such as some of the hoses got old and started cracking. hence leaks popped up...that doesnt mean either of those cars are bad or "unreliable" its just that after things get old, things start to break. thats just the way this world works...nothing lasts forever. that comes down to why i drive the honda...its gets about 38 mpg compared to the like 20 the sr20 will make...so its a sound decision for economy purposes, and the 240 is still very much a project car. once i get all the bugs worked out it will make a really sweet slideride and touge battle car, but thats not to say im going to stop driving the civic...

i also agree with parry, you are 15, you dont need a turbo 240...just a plain dohc ka will be good enough, because trust me, they are pretty quick. and if anyone ever tells you that they dont have the power to get sideways, tell them to shut it because they have plenty of power, even if its open diff.... if you are going to be drifting, i recommend a late model s13, like a 93 or 94 just because there will be less miles on the car (usually) and the less miles, the more time you can drive without having to do repairs.

well thats just my 2 cents, so take what you want from it, thats just what i have delt with for problems.

my friend told me that nissans arnt very good cars and he knows a lot more about cars than i do so it made me wonder are they good cars or are they made cheep like he said? wich is cheeper(quality) a honda or nissan?

cmon kid you say ur 15 but u sound like your 12. i am 15 but i obviously know more than you about cars. you question is flat out stupid. i mean cmon u think nissan is actually cheap??? how do you think so many sell and that like over 75% of all drift cars are nissan? how do you figure that???

so are you saying your nissan has been a money pit? i dont have alot of money to be continuesly dumping into my car so i want a reliable car...if i swapped the sr20det in it would it still be reliable?

all cars are expensive to modify. of course it would still be reliable if you had an sr20det. what do u think, the sr20det is crap???? gosh kid get your stuff straight. your asking a dumb question and making dumb comments. think before you post and make a thread bout this. this thread is pointless and dumb.
