what is needed to convert a sr5 eight six to a gts eight six?

is it just the motor? does the motor drop right it? does it use the same harnesses, so cutting splicing? is the suspension the same? i think the sr5 doesnt have sunroof so i like that better. and how much would it cost? would it be better just to buy a gts right away?

You will find what you need there. Basically as far as major components go you are talking about the 4AG motor, transmission, LSD rearend (though not all GTS's have them and the ones that do are worn out by now), and suspension (you want new stuff anyways).

In short, unless you have a lot of time and mechanical know how on your hands, it's far easier/cheaper to get a GTS right off the bat.
