    It's not weak, but I still don't think it's that strong. But I guess that might explain why sake is served in tiny bottles, in tiny glasses (smaller than shot glasses, maybe the same size, dunno).
    actually if you are 19 in america, and you go to japan, by the way they count years you would 20. this is because when a kid is born over there they start out at age 1, rather than at like 1 month over here. so that might be why they will wilingly serve you alcohol!

      Where did you?

      I know that the Japanese Emperial calender starts at year one... but that's entirely different from giving a person's age, since a calender year is only relative, where as an age is a fixed thing.
