Why are people not registering imported JDM cars as kit cars? All that needs to be done is take the frame, engine,and drivetrain apart. Have it shipped to your front door, after that put it back together, go to the dmv and register it as a kit car. All of this is not that hard and can be done in a month.

how could you get it apart in japan?

think it depends on the state, trying to do it in jersey or cali will obviously get denied, but ive talked to people in atl ga and they do this some times, i beleive thier are more than a dozen legal jdm cars running aroundComment

100% NOT acceptable as a kit car. You CAN'T do it....it has been discussed 1,000,000 times on 1,000,000 different forums. It was discussed HERE fairly recently.Comment
