Ok i was just wondering if on the courses that you have to stay behind the pace car... Are you able to get into his slipstream and become faster or is it just based on how you drive???

Slipstream,lol I think somebodys been playing a little to much midnight club 2. It's called drafting,and to my knowledge it only works when going speeds over 120 mph. which seems about right to me, the fast a car is going the further the air bounces off the car. So it punches a bigger hole through the air causing a "pocket" where there is less wind and air resistance for the trailing car to go through. The closer your car is to the person in front of you the more effective it is. But of course a supped of mini van isnt going to be able to draft off an FD, the FD is much lower and the air that comes off it will just hit the van in the face haha. On the other hand the FD would easily be able to draft of the van because of the hole the van will punch through the air. Drafting is effective because since there is less friction on the car it is able to gain speed while the engine uses less power. So finally to answer your question no, because you are not going fast enough. -
in all the read-ups and in the game its called slipstream... but in nascar is called drafting
i dont think getting behind the pace car will help cut wind resistance down.. but it would hurt getting behind him anyways, since the pace car is taking the driving lines.. just wait till you get to the GTR slipstream mission... pm me if you need help

Ok for 1.... CrazyBadger... take a look at the name of the mission it clearly states that it is a slipstream mission or whatever it says and thanx for the help

ok same difference... go to missions hall and go to 21-24 and its called SLIPSTREAM battle... so you must use their slipstream or draft off them same difference
