  • los angeles cracks down on motorcycles

They just announced on the local news that Los Angeles Police Dept. along w/ Sheriffs will begin ticketing motorcyclist w/ loud exhaust. The areas they had most complaints from were Hollywood and Santa Monica area. I have a feeling that they will be profiling street bikes because the officer used two of them for example. One street bike w/ stock exhaust and the other w/ a carbon fiber Yoshino? exhaust which they stated was illegal in california. So I guess us car enthusist can't complain anymore when we get pulled over. I'm sure they'll leave the Harley's alone offcourse!

Obviously. You know, I may not live in California but I'm sick of hearing about their rediculous laws and regulations. I'm surprised their state representatives continue to be voted into office. Or do they even have a real democracy in that state any more?

Just wait till you have to grow up and work for a living.
Trying to sleep while having 100+ dB's of engine roaring next to your house will make you rethink what you just said...

I will take that over my wannabe Jamaican neighbour who thinks he has a "trick" 1989 Mazda 323 with a fartcan, and a subwoofer with everything-else-stock-except-the-head-unit-stereo which he blasts his reggae/dancehall from almost daily. I want to punch this clown in the face. At least the motorcycles sound nice.

I work for a living and I honestly don't mind a neighbor revving the piss out of their car or motorcycle unless it's at 4 in the morning.

I live off a major street in long beach, and some of those choppers are ridiculous loud....louder than the helicopters that fly over our house to the airport, it drowns out the TV at the opposite end of the house.
