Need help in making up my mind

    oddly i've been thinking about a 302 powered miata (not for a drift car or auto-x car or anything like that...just a fun side project if i ever have any extra cash .. hahaha and that's a big IF). but i've been looking into some companies that make the conversion parts. the balance is upset from 50/50 to 53/47 (if i remember correctly; but i recall it not being too bad).

    i'd just like to build one for the humor in it. sitting at a redlight in a "girlie" miata, mean V8 rumble resonating from the hood, light turns green, dump the clutch and roast the poor 14 inch stock rims! hahaha...good times...

      I have ridden in one of those "monster Miata's" and they are crazy. Very fun!!!

      Also good news, my almost father-in-law is actually buying a new vette, and said he will GIVE me his 99' hard top 6speed vette!!!!! So looks like that made up my mind for me, I should be getting it in my hands shortly, I will have pics up soon of the car as it sits.

      So now that the choosing of the car is done, now I get to start looking at what to do with that car, The LS-1 is solid other than bolt ons, but what about chassis, suspension, and interior mods?

        you know how people swap ls-1 in Rx7's, well i say
        swap a rotary engine in there. 20b anyone? :P

          dude just buy a subaru 98 wrx sti version iv or a evo vi in japan, then just bring it over here, not legalizing any of it and then just have some fun

          or sumthin more practical, get a low cost car then put all the rest into it, like for example, a 300zx, rx7, 240z, 510, 240sx, etc

          or you could get a r32 legalized?

          im just tryin to make you look at all the possibilities, like if i had hat kind of money id keep my supra, and have a 1jz in it that made it into the low 9s

            All good ideas, but as the previous post states....

            Im now the owner of a 99 LS-1 6 speed hardtop vette' FOR FREE!!!!!!

            Just have to wait about a month or 2 to pick it up. The almost father in law is getting a new Z06, so the "old" vette has to go.

            I mean it would not be my first choice, but you cant beat FREE, no matter how you look at it. But I HATE the interior, it looks like a mid 90's chevy truck, why dont they make these things look better inside ill never know?? So thats the first thing that needs to be addressed.

            I will have pics up as soon as i get the car in stock trim, then as things progress I will keep everyone updated!!!

            BTW.. any of you with LS-1 experience let me know what these engines respond well to etc.. I have some friends that say they can take just about anything you can throw at them,
            or, and i quote, "like buddy lee, cant bust-em!!"
