this is great it should help me out alot when I go to the thunder zone. lol I cant wait its gonna be awsome I will have my friend take pics if do get the Kart to drift and then I will post them.

they have slick tracks in Japan, they put baby powder on the track to go drifting.

I used to race a KT100 powered Birel, and yeah, it's possible. with the weight on the right hand side of the kart, I found that the handling changed from lefthand corners to righthand corners. on righthand corners the kart would initially understeer, and then snap oversteer. If you have on old, hard rears, it would be more progressive. On lefthand corners, it's more progressive to begin with.

Try to get your hands on the hardest rubber available. Used, 10-year old tires are good... Also, try it in the wet on slicks (or rains if it's really wet), and just start tossing the kart more into the corner... a hard turn-in should do it. Avoid a braking drift, because you'll just spin it (it would have the same effect as a handbrake, because you'll just lock up the rears).

I used to drift my 4-cycle kart in the wet... it was the fastest way around!

Speed Zone in the City of Industry (LA) I think it is off of the 60 freeway they have a slick go cart track the whole track is slick!!!!
I was there about 6 months ago it was way too fun I spent like $100 and was there for hours!!!!

i was a "Lagoon" (the local theme park) yesterday, and me and my friend drove the go-kart's.....they kicked me off because i was drifting it. i got good at drifting one of the corners, then when i did it with one hand, the person running it was all "both hands on the wheel!" then on the next lap he told me to pull in the the pit area. he said i cannot ride it any more because i broke 2 rules. "sliding" and "keeping both hands on the wheel"

we have a place called hot track near vancouver that has an indoor cart place.
drifting slows your times down by at least 5 seconds a run but its still fun and this is how to do it easily.

1. accelerate full throttle
2. lean forward as much as you can ( u can lift ur butt too)
3. tap the brake hard one very fast while feinting hard
4. as soon as the feint takes place lean to the inside of the corner and full turn the wheel into the corner and keep full throttle
5.when at the apex counter steer hard and begin to straghtien out.

damn guys sorry for postin tite man yesterday was tite i was sliding around every turn damn my friends were allll hahahahahha we beat you and u love cars and im like but wth i was sideways around the turns and welll even if u werent u couldnt beat usss sooo then i had to waste a token soooo can actually drive the course and what do i do? thats rite win by a big distance....damn they felt dumb....but yea it sure was fun to be sideways around c0orners
