The car made it here illegaly, or was never changed to meet US specs...The US Gov't decided rather than freight it back across...it would be cheaper to scrap it.

It was crushed by Arizona Test Center (ATC) in Maricopa and they crush cars regularly. That Skyline was one of them.

        errr...

...the skyline doesn't give everybody a woody folks...

I hate to tell you, but this car isn't a be all end all to 95% of the people in America. On top of that, the value of that car is nothing to the government to begin with. It's not even a drop in a bucket, it's a single drop in an ocean. Why would they care anyway...they didn't pay for it, the owner did. It was a waste of his money to get it brought illegally into the country and then drive like a moron, and this is what his efforts earned him.

Damn, all the wrong information here...

That Yellow R34 25GTt is a Nissan North American Technical Test Center test car. It was here for chassis evaluation purpose. Companies can bring cars in for testing purpose for a set time period. When the time ran out, it's cheaper to crush the car. And for the record, there's no engine, no tranny, no seat, wrong wheels, no spoiler on the car by the time it hit the crushing yard...

I have a picture of me standing next to it and the red BNR34 Skyline GT-R. Yeah, that one was crushed as well.

And then there's the Blue R34 Skyline GTt, and the Blue S15 Silvia. Yeah, crushed too...

          Nothing new.

for some reason, when i tell people that cars have you be tested and crashed for it to become legal, they dont believe me.

so its true that theyre trying to get the s15's legalized eh?

A company in Socal is trying to. Nissan doesn't want to. It's already a dead chassis.

i heard that motorex finally got rights to bring them over. my friend raced one in his M3 (he lost (Nissan power)). also a guy at Drift Day 10 had one so i guess they must be legal to some extent.

Expect prices to be in the mid $30k range.

so all in all this thread had nothing to do with drifting on public roads.

gotta love the music on www.jdmevolution.com 's webpage.
