LA crime

I'm watching a program about LAPD and gang violence in southeast LA. It's making me not want to go to LA so badly. I'm sure it's not all this way, but it sure does scare me. Anybody near LA had any gang trouble or anything?

Stuff like that really only exist in the poor and bad neighboorhoods.. Crime in Los angeles really isnt any worse then any other major city.
