wait, wut are your asking for? between the subaru and rx7, i'd choose subaru. u can always cut off power to the front to make your subaru fwd.

subaru is more reliable than the rx7 if you dont know how to work on rotaries

Drag and style? Why did you come here?

The STi is faster, but the way you talk makes me think you can't afford it. It seems like you and your buddies all line up and street race, which is the lowest form of... anything race-related. We don't condone street racing here, and we certainly aren't lovers of the straight line. Maybe you should do some Googling to get some more information.

You'll fit well at honda-tech then. And what is this "Takahashi style" is it like Initial D style or Kunimitsu Takahashi's style, the father of drifting. And you're into drag racing which is really a paradox...

no y'all missed the point. I wanted to know which car i should pick for the better all around car speed and drift capiblity. As for the strret raceing we're not on the street we use my uncles air strip(He's a crop duster).

yes i want to drift but i also want to have speed......ok

and as for the money I can afford it I just graduated from LSU as an electrical engineer.

.....Oh and takahashi style is off initial d. just something i throw out because Keisuke is my favorite character. And yes i do know how rotary engines work

Have fun with AWD drifting... You're going to have to Fully add throttle at all times to be able to pull some crazy drifts.

BTW, AWD drivetrains don't like the beatings that drifting puts on them.

I say go RWD and learn how to fix the rotary... They've got interesting power curves that can be both advantageous to drifting and a major weakness.

                Matt.

wouldn't it make it RWD if he cut power to the front?

I don't recommend either if you're a beginner...AWD requires good control and knowing how a rotary works is different than knowing how to maintain one...To answer all the threads with the question "What kind of car should I get?" Get a 240, end of story...

the thing is I want a car..... one of the two I picked because i like them both plus... I won't be drifting that much it's mostly to say i can do it not to show off. you know. I'll probly go with the sti. anything I can put under the hood to make more power? I know it has alot already but I'm kinda a speed freak

And to answer your question about the racing part. I'm into anything that involves 2 to 4 wheels and a motor

The point of drifting IS to show off...I guess it isn't that much of your thing then. STi has the speed you want...But beware of it's transmission. My friend blew his tranmission trying to launch his WRX...

This part was HILARIOUS. You got styl, guy.

The other thing I love is when people go and race their WRX and then act surprised when the tranny lets go. You can't wind it up to like 4,000 and dump the clutch repeatedly and not expect SOMETHING to give up.

Hey cajun FD3S, if you want speed and drift all in one package, you should get a Civic GTR. Its comes with a transversely mounted 250 hp turbocharged inline 6. It's FWD, so it the understeer makes it essential to drift. The weight distribution is 50/50 so the weight distribution is perfect for drifting. I've seen a rally version of this car. It had 1000 hp! Thats almost as much as a Suzuki Escudo has. But the rally driver died at Pikes Peak raceway. The car went so fast on the uphill, that at the first curve it launched him off the cliff. So yeah, get the Civic GTR, my other friend has one.
