  • 8kg front 7kg rear springs too much for Ae86?

    front: 48131-ae801-80 (8.0kg/mm)
    rear: 48231-ae801-70 (7.0kg/mm)

does 7.0 rear seem waaay to stiff for intermidiate skill drifting? i'm way past the beginer stage and far from any pro/advanced...only have ~ 6months burning tires

    any thoughts appreciated

IMO 8/6 is nice but if you want 8/6.5 would push the rear out a little easier. I've only driven 6/4.7 and 8/6 at the track at multiple drift events but never tried 8/6.5 so thats just speculation. I think that 7 might be too stiff.

        BlackTruenoAE86,
4 front, 6 rear kg springs are really bad. You need to get some 8 kg springs for the front of that thing. I would suggest going short stroke and coil overs all at once, with some RCA's. NCRCA's would be best. Once you get your shocks, springs, rca, lateral rod taken care of, then go for some 4 links. You will be amaised at the gains

Hope that helps at least a bit.
