i'm shopping around for different exhausts for my s13 ka24de, and had my eyes set on Espelir's JGT500 (80mm piping, 115mm tip). does anyone have any firsthand feedback on this particular application? the model comes with a silencer, but does it meet the legal decible level (~95) without it? and how does this exhaust vie in terms of gains? is it aimed more towards mid - high end power, or are there gains across the board?
just to throw another topic out there while discussing exhausts. i've researched some of the forums, and found that different tuners say different things about basic exhaust 101. isn't backpressure the enemy? shouldn't this be kept at a minimum while "exhaust velocity" optimum? isn't ideal exhaust flow the determiner of balanced torque, not backpressure? hmm?..
anyway sorry about the lengthy post but any feedback on any of these topics would be greatly appreciated.
