How hard is it to convert a impreza to rwd? Is it permanent or could I like just make it rwd for a drift even then convert it back to awd the next day? A impreza is really appealing to me because we have very bad winters here.

i heard there's a replacement for your center differential that you can get from japan for about 550. i'll have to ask my friend who has an impreza for more details -

All Subaru owners now hate you!
Awd is what makes Subaru, although it doesn't make for good high grip, low power drifting. Nothing like trying to spin 4 tires on asphalt with 170HP.
Weren't older Imprezas 2wd? ...maybe they were only fwd. You might want to hop over to Nasioc too and do a little SEARCH buttom action. I know there's been a bit of discussion on rwd conversions, although flaming does occur.Comment
