    Im new to this forum, just saying hi.

    Ok now as my first post, i wana ask a few questions.

    Got my 98 kouki 240sx SE here, ABS and VLSD packed with other fun stuff. But shes got a problem...automatic. Now im getting ready to give that ol auto tranny a go and install a 5 speed manual.

    Now heres what i got so far

    Transmission from a S13 <--will this work?
    Shifter
    Release Bearing
    Pressure plate
    Clutch
    Flywheel from a m/t
    M/T Mounting plate
    Flywheel Bolts (m/t bolts are longer than a/t bolts)
    Clutch pedal
    Brake pedal
    Clutch master cylinder w/ reservoir
    Clutch slave cylinder
    Clutch hydraulic lines (Main line, bleeder line, rubber line to slave cylinder)
    Drive shaft front & rear section
    Adapter bolts & nuts for mounting cross-member to the 5 speed
    Reverse light sensor
    Neutral position sensor
    5th gear sensor
    Lower shift boot & plate
    Upper Shift boot & Finisher plate.

    I believe thats all i need for me to complete my swap. Now heres my question, the automatic ECU is different from the manual ECU
    in what ways? mechanically suited for the task im ok, but when it comes to the electrical. im very lost. What things must i keep account for in order to do this swap electrical wise. I was told i needed the MT wiring harness..and others say i dont. help me out ....and please dont refer me to sites with tranny swap that deal with the SR . im refering to KA tranny. thanks
