    BIG Fat WRONG

Call the EPA and REF..Ive spent far to much time talking to them now I have direct numbers to the employs. Passenger Car to Passenger Car in this case is all that matters. As in your cant put a truck motor into a car and have it get signed off on. You can put a diesel (smog exempt engines) from a car into your car if you want and your car would them be smog exempt while that engine was in the car (Told by REF tech district manager) What happens, say for example you wanted to put a VQ35DE into a S13...You do the swap with ALL of the OBD2 components then go to a ref station. After they see it would run clean and have all the proper some parts your car then would need to meet the smog requirements for the VQ35 from that point forward. One point would be you can not go from the current OBD systems backwards. The engine has to be the same year or new of the cars chassis also.I know Im leaving things out but its late and Im tired so just search but you get the idea. Thanks

Correct Sancosys, you cannot go back OBDs.... If you have say a honda CRX 91, it is OBD0 so you can pretty much drop in anything as long as it has on board diagnosis. The older the car, the less hassle. If you have a 99 civic EX tho you cant put a B16A from the CRX because the 99 civic is OBD2.

It sucks but i mean you have to protect the enviroment you know?
