"the option of going with let's say a GM performance crate engine , now they offer many different configurations and for what their intended purpose was they can be a good value if you do not have anything to start with but the rigors and stresses of drifting will just about kill everything and I can guarantee you those those Motors were not designed with drifting in mind when the component selection as far as piston material, rod material , bearing material , ring material , other things like the clearances , like the oil clearances , the piston to wall clearance , the ring end gaps those types of motors are designed more for a weekend warrior hot rod type deal , not a serious competition engine"
