blow off valves are cool and my friend's does not sound like
"a whooshing sound much like getting punched in the stomach"
what is the bar system from? i mean like 1 bar of boost etc.

Nope, don't think thats the BOV, that sounds like an external wastegate.

bar is a different unit of measurement. Off the top of my head, I think 1 bar is about 22 psi.

22? i have heard a couple other numbers for a bar but im not sure what it really is. the numbers i heard are 14. something and 16

1 bar is 14.7 psi, atmospheric pressure. Don't even ask why atmospheric pressure helps your engine perform, just search.

btw, external wastegate is kind of what I was trying to say, but I didn't. I got sidetracked on what BOVs sound like, pretty obvious thing to me. I knew it was a wastegate though, but i have heard BOVs that sound rather similar to that from inside the car. It's a whole nother world outside the car.
