I remember an NCDA event where there was 3 civics all in camo out there. It was pretty intresting watching them.

Yea that was a fun event. Those guys were actually drifting quite well.

As I recall most of them ended up snapping axels.

speaking of which, kinda; since I am somewhat of a noob to drifting, how exactly would you attack that large sweeper at altamont, my dad says use the ebrake first like the pros, but other were yelling out clutch kick, and suggestions, I think alot of people last year tried to power over it alot, I dont know...

Do you mean the big bank? I wouldnt do that unless your used to drifting. I dont even think about trying it. But if i did feel like i could do it i would start off w/ a a lot of speed entering it then clutch kick and get a low angle drift going. then about near the apex or middle of the turn id give it a little more angle then if need be ebrake near the end to keep the slide going.

Ive never tried it but i assume thats what would have to be done. If you mean the inside oval. Whatever you feel is comfortable. Try starting w/ the ebrake or clutch kick. I found in my FD that clutch kick let the rear out a lot smoother than the ebrake so thats what i plan to do. It was a lot more predictable. Also you can keep both hands on the wheel when you clutch kick.

The gray s13 hatchback was me when I had it. This was back in NCDA days when there were still inner walls in Altamont. I initiate it with a clutch kick it and catch the rear end with a counter steer and hold on for dear life! =) Ask Sonny, he's the master of that bank!
