    Hello drift fans,
You might know me as the Voice of Formula Drift but I do more than just that.
I also work for GUMBALL 3000 doing U.S. marketing aside from other jobs I have in the automotive industry.
I've participated in the last 3 rallies and it was amazing.
This last year you might have seen the car I drove the General Lee Ferrari 550 Marianello, read the story in Modified L&E, C16 or more!

No, I don't come from money nor am I loaded I am fortunate enough to work for the company and coordiante enough sponsors, celebs and logistics to participate for the last 3 years.

I'm psyched to hear you guys are into the different rallies in all.
The roots of GUMBALL derive from the CANNONBALL RUN of course but illegality is not the appeal of GUMBALL.
GUMBALL is the culmination of diffrent walks of life coming together for one heck of an automotive experience!!!!

So make a long story short, keep checking out www.gumball3000.com
and stay a fan because we love it!

"I just want to be Burt Reynolds"- Ryan Dunn

now an all out race would be interesting, have a cash pot, say $10,000 or so for the winner. I would be interested in that

I've always wanted to use a Lotus or something British for a cannonball race, just seems like the way it should be run.

But I really want to do a dakar rally type thing across the country, if there was one, id go buy a wrx tomorrow, and im being 100% honest.

you would not need an AWD drive car to run across america. though I'd love to do the race in a roadster appropriate.

the one lap use to do a dirt track as one of their thracks, the subie would have an advantage there. of course its always a 911 AWD turbo that wins it

yes I know what the dakar rally is. its a rally with cars trucks and even bikes. starts in europe ends in africa, they race on just about every different road surface. Porsche has actualy won that race too in the 80s with their 959.
you could do that here, across the country, just wouldn't be legal

Holy ressurection of a cool thread.

There is also another race, The Ultimate Rally. Thrown by Kim Schmitz, ex hacker who hacked the NSA, FBI and many other computer systems worldwide, best known for hacking into the Eurobank and resetting the German Chancellors credit rating to 0. All that aside, he is throwing what is dubbed to be the "World Championship of Street Racing". 100 cars, 3000 miles, 7 days and 2 million in cash prizes.

Not a race for the timid (or financially challenged) as it runs through countries instead of states. But it looks neat and Kim Schmitz is a pretty flashy guy known for getting things done. Either way check it out.

Good ol Kim, he's a maniac this is true.
I've hung out with him on a few GUMBALL rallies and he's a maniac!
He drives and lives everyday like it's his last!

Ultimate Rally has been in the works for a couple years, who knows if it will ever happen!

GUMBALL 3000 rules all rallies I promise, all imitators of Cannonball but GUMBALL has the spirit regardless of the price tag

Yea he is something else. Never met him but i've been part of the Kimpire for a couple years.

The gumball is kickass. I actually hung out with Brock Yates of Cannonball fame when they came through Atlanta couple years back, got a photo with him. The only one I keep framed in my house. Good stuff.
