          Pfeiffer VS Maeda

Pfeiffer put up one of the best fights that he could. Maeda just had too much angle, too much smoke, too much entry speed. On second round of tandem upon entry Maeda followed pfeiffer in so closely it looked like contact was inevitable, but somehow both escaped unscathed. Maeda advances.

          Suenaga vs Millen
Millen spun out while chasing, then while suenaga was chasing understeered. according to D1 rules, you get no points for spinning out. According to D1 rules, you still get points for only understeering a little. Somehow they decided they should go one (even though it probably should have gone to suenaga) more time, two clean runs, gave it to millen.

          forsberg vs Tanaka
Tanaka had a sloppy first run while leading. Forsberg was so consistant he looked like a robot, and was on point. While tanaka followed, he tried his best to shake forsberg. Tanaka did some incredible driving. It wasn't enough though, forsberg held his line and made a clean run. forsberg advances.

          chunky bai vs fixmer
Fixmer spun out while chasing. then while bai was chasing, he hit ernie from behind. D1 rules state that while contact is allowed, if you hit the driver in front of you and alter his progression immensely, you're disqualified. Ernie advances.

Best 4: well I'm tired of typing and you had to be there. If you weren't sucks for you.

geeze. its funny how this is drifting.com, but nobody know what the hell went on.

                      anyways,

                      gushi vs taniguchi

Gushi by far was the cleanest, and had the best handle on the course out of all the USA drivers that night. his entry speed seemed to be higher than all other US guys, and he had greater angle around the first turn. Anyhow, he got paired with taniguchi.
On their first run, taniguchi led. Gushi did his best to keep up with taniguchi, and perhaps pushed his car a little too hard. I don't remember whether it was when he was chasing or leading, but on the transition on the second turn, he spun. Too much pressure I guess. Anyhow gushi out, taniguchi advances.

                      finals:
                      Taniguchi vs Kumakubo
                      Imamura Vs. Millen

                      Taniguchi vs Kumakubo

the whole night kumakubo's car had something that was so low, it was hitting the ground and causing sparks. it only added to the tandem battle. First taniguchi leads. Kumakubo does his usual get all up in his grille technique, but taniguchi is unfazed, clean run. advantage kumakubo. Kumakubo leads, taniguchi follows. after the first turn and into the transition of the 2nd turn, taniguchi understeers and has to correct, losing speed. Kumakubo increases his lead, takes the victory. Kumakubo advances.

                      Imamura vs Millen

Warm up lap, before even the first turn, millen spins.
First imamura leads. at the exit of the last turn, imamura hits the brakes for a second, scares millen, millen spins out. Advantage Imamura. Millen leads. much slower entry speed, imamura has to slow down. I believe he spun. Then they went again, after two runs, its clear imamura advances.

Imamura VS Kumakubo for the final.

when he sparked it seemed as though from what it looked like at the distance I was at as though he had a rig that made it spark so that while he drifted the weight would shift to one side and make that "arm-thingie" hit the ground.
