    Yahoo Japan Auctions

But if its so expensive to ship parts for the car you like from Japan, why not try building up a car you can get locally for cheap (even though you might not see people drift them too often)?

That's true, then it's gonna be a Ford Sierra, BMW or Volvo 240 (seen them?)
I'm sure they can be ok for drifting, but still it's gonna cost 10-12000$ to
build the engine. And when we're not talking about a "special & exotic" car
(maybe in USA?) I don't think it's worth it for marketing.
Because japanese cars are so expensive (with the right mods) it will be something special to show.

I personally have a Ford Sierra worth 200$ which is perfect for winterdrifting.
Nobody think it's a cool car, but I don't give a *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* because I like to drive it.
To make people think it's cool (drifting for example) you need something special, marketing is a lot of being cool, it's just a stupid as that...

We have been sliding around with our cars for years to have fun, it's just now when people have seen japanees driftmovies they think it's cool.
Drifting and marketing are two different things, but also little bit the same, if you understand...
