What is a typical day/week for you?
Most of the time I am on the road doing demonstrations with the SRT products for Daimler Chrysler sales and dealer training.

How do you like living in SoCal, now that you've been here for a while?
I love SoCal! I moved from snowing Sweden and I just wanted the opposite.

        What is your daily driver?
M3 2002, I have some clips of me drifting my car on toxicdrift.com

What is the WORST car that you've ever owned/driven?
A 1991 Camero which I had in 98 when I first came to the U.S.

What is your favorite type of food?
        Sushi

What type of music do you listen to?
        80’s music and random rock

(This one is for the ladies) Boxers or briefs?
        No comment dude!

What is your favorite tire right now? (we will not tell your sponsors if there is a potential conflict...haha)
        Yokohama AVS sport!

Do you have any brothers or sisters?
One brother and one sister who are both in Sweden

        Are you right-handed or left-handed?
        Right-handed.

        RIGHT HAND CARS?
Drove the Signal 240 for a media day in Dec.
When I was a test driver for Volvo I drove a lot of Right-hand drive cars.

didn't he qualify for d1 driver search in a rental 350z?
Yes, my friends Nick Kunewalder and Rich Rutherford shared a 350Z that was rented for the first D1 drivers search.

have you thought about doing any road racing in the states?
my 1 88 u, thanks for answering that question

Dag svennebjer, I don’t think I know him, when did he work there?

You were in Minnesota? That's where i live! awesome. Which track did you go to?
I will be in Minnesota on Tuesday for 1 day, but I don’t know the name of the track ,sorry!

Have you ever tried drifting in a lower power car, such as a corolla or mild tune s-chassis?
i only remember you in at he 80 supra and vipers.
My first car that I learn in was a Mercedes 300TD. Then a Opel Manta with 140hk and after that a few BMW's. And of course the stock 350Z at the Driver search in 03.

do you use Ikea furniture? why are Swedish women so hot? oh how does the new car compare to last year's viper?
Yes, I shop at Ikea! The Vikings brought the pretty girls to Scandinavia and left the rest HAHA

          hey sam,

Bein g from Sweden, whats your experience with the old Volvo 200 series? I heard you used to rally one?

Im kind of a volvo junkie, and Sweden is obviously kind of a mecca for the few American volvo performance fans. Im currently building a 242 GLT N/A with an eye towards drifting... all suspension/ weight reduction so far, almost no motor work short of a cone air filter attached to the MAF sensor. :P

I love my slow car. But keep an eye out on the west coast, because it wont be slow for long. shocks this weekend, LSD next paycheck, then Exhaust, cam, headwork, etc... should be fun, loud, and very surprising to the occasional honda.

Anyway, Im babbling... thanks for your time and GL with the new Viper!

            From Mopar,

The production Viper and the Comp Coupe both use the production Backbone square tube space frame (neither actually have a complete tube frame). The Viper Comp Coupe has a rollcage which links into the suspension pickup points to mimic a tube frame...but it's not a true tube frame car. The new drift car does not have this type of rollcage.

            Thanks.

People will still bicker their mouth that it is a Tube Frame car. No matter what anyone says, they are just too stupid to understand.

                Driftex,

We went to BIR and tested yesterday and the car is SICK now.

I can't wait to get out there and Drift it in Atlanta.

                STRAY,

VOLVO 240 has great potential to be a good Drift car. It has Lots of steering angle and easy to get power, with Turbo kits. It is a very popular rally and Rally Cross car in Europe because of that. Good luck with that and I am looking forward to see more random cars out there.

Wow, look at that, I was right. That is almost the exact word for word response that I have been giving everyone since the Mopar CC appeared on the drift scene.

                  Thank you.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled Q&A session with Mr. Hubinette.

Hey good to here the new car is wiped into shape now. So no more getting smoked first round of top 16. Although I have always been under the impression that a driver at your level could adapt to any adverse situations that might come your way in the mannerisms of a car, and still be competitive?

anyway good luck this round and the next. ill look forward to seeing you at infineon.

MOPAR'S HUBINETTE LOOKS FOR ROAD ATLANTA REPEAT

Center Line, Mich. - It's true Samuel Hubinette faces the challenges of having a new team and a new car for the 2005 season, but as he rolls into Road Atlanta this weekend for the second round of the Need For Speed Formula Drift Championship, none of that matters. "The Crazy Swede" has his sights set firmly on driving the Mopar SRT10 Dodge Viper to a repeat of the event sweep he performed in 2004.

"There is some pressure to win at Road Atlanta because of how well we performed last year," Hubinette said. "We always want to be on top of our game, and winning the event last year gave us a taste of what that success is like. We're going into this event with our A-game, and we plan to put on a good show for the fans and tear up a lot of Yokohama tires while doing so."

Hubinette and the Mopar SRT10 Dodge Viper team are gunning for a podium finish at Road Atlanta this weekend, and they realize they'll have their work cut out for them. Hubinette is also looking forward to returning to the fan-friendly atmosphere of Road Atlanta.

"It's fun to go to this event because it's an area where drifting is a relatively new sport," Hubinette said. "The crowd is awesome, and you feed off of their energy. They're very supportive to all of the competitors and it's great to know we're going to compete in front of a crowd that is so enthusiastic about drifting."

Round two of the Need For Speed Formula Drift Championship will take place at Road Atlanta on May 6 and 7. For more information regarding Mopar, Hubinette or drifting, log on to www.moparspeed.com, www.toxicdrift.com or www.drifting.com.

                              Kristian,

Congrats on your second victory here in Georgia. Other than your match with Taka I think you fought hard and deserved all of those victories.
As a fan of drifting I enjoy seeing close battles and you sure know how to presure the driver ahead of you. Though when being chased by less powerful vehicles It is less enjoyable to see a wide lead created before a drift is initiated. I am not suggesting you slow your approach or entry when battling slower cars, rather time your approach to pass the follower shortly before you initiate your drift. This will ad to the excitement of your runs and help avoid contraversy. Thank you and keep putting on a great show.

oh, and what are you guys saying. (being nosey)
