I learned two things from that awesome Formula D episode

          1. the 1337 saying of radiator from Forseberg "rah-dee-aye-tohr"
          2. JDM people like to curse alot, haha

There was nothing inherently wrong with the episode, it showed what was advertised it would include but failed to impress me never the less. Most of the people that posted overwhelmingly positive remarks either are so happy that there is a weekly show deticated to drifting that they dare not say anything to chase it away or they have extremely low standards and have never seen an option video, drift society or jdm insider for that matter. Don't get me wrong, I do appriciate what you guys are trying to do but I will not lie to myself nor to the d.com forum subscribers to believe the show is as good as the video's that have been out for years now showing jdm automotive life-style with excitement.

episode 2 was still a classic though

                  Those are videos.
The job GVtv did for a TV episode was really good.
TV is hard to do, videos are easy and you can take more time to make it authentic..
I have never seen a video where the driver was speaking while driving, talking about the stuff you can't see on video, clutch kick, ect ect, then the voice over was good to.
My hats off to them..good job..
                  Drift Alliance pwnes.
JR's dad is building a time machine drift car..that's what G4tv should show next!

You didnt post what was wrong... You just posted that you like Option videos better.

I have... There are plenty out there, I just can't understand what they say for the most part.

On the episode it was way better than the first 3, the episodes are good for people that don't sit on forums all day and figure out how to get around to different tracks and touges without ever going to any of them. It had footage of people we know and can understand drifting and explaining what Ebisu is in English.

You can't expect them to target this to small group of people who know everything already, the last episode was boring as all hell to me, but thats cuz I knew all the stuff, but I guess to the non-informed it was somewhat informing.

The show seems to be going about it the right way, I am sure by next year it will be a lot more interesting with a lot less intro stuff, but this is the first year.

I thought you guys did a great job. The point of the episode wasn't to showcase the most badass drifting you've ever seen in your life, and they didn't make it out to be that way. It was very informative and entertaining at the same time... I'm sure the show attracted audiences that previously knew about drifting but I'm sure it was interesting enough to attract non-drifters.

Looking foreward to seeing more episodes.

If you read my post I started it off with "There was nothing inherently wrong with the episode". Their might be alot of traffic and cops at a japanese touge if you go in broad fricken day. As far as Ebisu footage, pic up http://store.driftingshop.com/sadeddvd20fd.html

You're right. There is a lot of traffic on the togue during the day, and a lot of cops at night. We made a decision not to shoot there at night and instead focus on the history of touge. It's hard to see what a touge is at night in the dark without lights.

We are not trying to make a competitive product to option or any other DVD. We are trying to expose a larger, broader audience to drifting and the drivers in Formula D. That means the target audience is not the core group of drifters here who already know all this stuff and much much more. I do however believe that if we are able to entertain you (the core drifters) along the way, then we are doing our job and staying true to your sport.

A good friend of mine, and part of a high profile FD team watches every episode for me to give me feedback. His metric is weather or not he falls asleep during the episode. Apparently TV has that effect on him in general, so if he stays awake he rates the episode as more entertaining. This one kept him awake...thats really all I can ask.

Thanks for staying awake my 1 88 u

Bellsouth cable doesn't get g4tv so I have been going to a friends house for the past four sundays at 10:00. I do want your show to succeed as well as excel so it can compete with the video's mentioned. How about a deal, you keep bringing it better and better, and I'll keep watching and giving my honest opinion about each show.
