I prefer Japanese car tuning over American car tuning, and Japanese don't seem to be so pricky about their cars. American car tuners are all about displacement while the Japanese are all about weight ratios and making a whole lot out of so little. Every young person I know that has a muscle car talks about Japanese shlt sucks and they always want to drag race you to prove it. Then you ask what they have and they say it is stock but they are going to bore it out soon. I say if any Honda Civic can come close to beating a Camero, the owner of the Camero better not try to rub it in because he has like over 3 times the displacement over the Civic. Unless the guy with the Civic was being a faq about his car.Comment

Umm...thats because that is the chassis code man.I have a 240sx fastback and it's chassis code is RMS13(91-93 240sx FB).S13 generally refers to ALL the 89-94 chassis.and call it a S 13 14 cause thats what its called here.Comment

its this disrespective mentality of car culture you should really frown upon. Every "tuner" in america has no respect for others or even their own cars (ricers). Im not saying im JDM all the way cus i think a 428 v8 is as beautiful as an efficient sr20, or a 13b.
these little kids have no respect for the culture itself, they simply hop on the bandwagon every time something becomes popularized. Just beacuse you gotta a civic with fart can and intake doesnt mean you can beat anything on the road, same thing goes for domestics who ride on imports cus they think ther are also better than everyone else. Neither have any intelligence, whatsoever making me wonder why america doesnt have any type strict car tax like japan, or europe. Then we would atleast see some revernce to those who own cars and pimp them out because they can afford it, to those who simply wish they could do that.

Well, This is quite a strange thread. We have people bashing japanese pop culture, people talking about japanese bukkake, and people talking about what name to call a car.
IMO, I could car less...I love my car...I love my sport...Do what you want...
I have noticed you all have the same idea of hating on each other...What's the deal? Why should you car what car somone drifts? or what they call it? Yes, ofcourse its annoying when somone call's a usdm 240sx and Silvia or 180sx. Same with Trueno and All the others, I've had kids ask me if I could find them Levin AE85?? First they never sent AE85 to america or the flat fixed monunted lights(Levin). I have been bashed for misspelling words and had much disrespect on this fourm. I thought I quit but I cant... It's an Additicon...HAHaHAah, Anywayz.. If you want to argue why japanese made parts are better then american made... How many american based companys make suspension parts for a 1989 240sx Coupe? And how many are worth buying?? Eibach is a international company so thats excuded. Japanese Companys have been making parts for the cars for YEAR's before the american companys even started drafting ideas for them. I have never seen a TRUE jdm car... but I dont care... I'm not a jdm freak..

Well anyway you guys talk about jdm culture, but over there they imitate us. So its like imitating an imitation of us. Those guys wear throwbacks and are all about hiphop, im not talking about the cracked out a55 ones you see touching each others cocks on option vids. But we take certain traits from them, as they do from us. We exchange culture back and forth, theres nothing wrong with that. Theres not a need to discuss what they eat and do during the day...were talking about the jdm car scene. Not kanji tattoos and tupac. Japanese cars are beautiful, my favorite even. Id kill for my wankel (wankel is german designed though but i love my rotary)...I could care less for the jdm overpriced parts that panspeed and fujita sell by name but if it works it works. Much of the honda crowd is the one thats been blowing jdm out of proportion. You guys cant deal with this. You cant embrace drifting and not respect the japanese. I love japanese parts that are of fine quality and japanese cars. I do however like Buying japanese parts that have been produced in the us and sold for YEARS (that is not jdm). Many of those parts are created here, even if there not created here those companys have been with us for a long time. Many of those companies are giving our americans jobs and such. As for jdm Im not gonna go buy a cusco stutbar for the rear at like 2bills when i can buy one here or if i get bored make my own. dunno how all of you feel on this subject, but this stupid jdm and initial D sht is bringing your board down. Someone needs guidlines or something. You guys should be helping eachother out, not just cursing at others for nothing(like myself, im an a55hole thats just how it is). If a little kid asks you about some bullsht he saw on initial d, help him out. Ive seen members who care about this board like lets say ghost of duluth always helping people out. Its not hurting you to help, hell ive tried a couple times. Everyone needs to chill with this bullsht (myself included). I dunno i was bored so i felt like typing. If you do give a sht about drifting and all of this, and this whole scene. Help people get a positive image of it as a whole? Man i really dont know wtf im talking about, seriously. I really see no problem in embracing another culture i mean if your american and whitre and dress in a komoto(not sure on the spelling), carry a katana, and eat sushi for lunch every day i can understand some japanese person being mad but come on. I am Serbian/American yet i enjoy japanes food, music, animation and cars. Am I a wannabe asian??? I have friends that like serbian food and whatnot. I say come on try it etc. theyre not wannabes. if they like the difference between USDM and JDM let them do it. like the S13 i like the JDM front better than USDM.
maybe im babbling but if people enjoy things of another culture asian/serbian/african whatever let them do it people should embrace other cultures. i dont think im asian because i love japanese food and anime. Im serbian proud
