It says Insane D1GP Full Bank Formation Drifting, which to me makes me assume that the D1 guys will drift the full bank in tandem, but not the NASCAR guys.

the drifters will definitely be using the full bank config. They may have the nascar guys run a safer course but the nascar drivers have been saying they want the real deal.

the nascar guys are all really stoked on this event and cant wait to get behind the wheel of a real drift car.

Chris Cook is not a famous nascar driver. he just runs a few races a year. he is a road racing specialist and runs the nascar road course races. he is the head instructor and co owner of our sponsor Shift Into Gear. He teaches car control techniques and also coaches a lot of nascar drivers on road course racing skills.

Is Chris Cook teaching the NASCAR drivers the dynamics of drifting (like the different initiations and all that stuff)?

Or is there someone else from D1 or another pro-drifter giving them tips?

chris cook helped them learn the dynamics of drifting during their practice session. Cook actually was a canidate for the GM drift team a few years ago but didnt realize how big drifting was going to be and decided to pursue his road racing career. he is now trying to put together a deal to run the full drift schedule next year.

during the practice session at Irwindale the nascar guys will get a lot of help from the drifters.

Is this gonna be on T.V. is the big question or will it be aired at a later date?
It just sucks that I will be looking for images on the internet and not being able to see actual footage.

All in all this is gonna be a great boost for the sport.
