what's with some of the stops, im sure theres drift events you can go to instead of a shop or manufacturer.
edit: charlie posted what I was referring to and I didnt see it...
We tried to plan the schedule so we would be hitting events in each city. Logistically, we knew we wouldn't be able to hit that nail on the head for each stop. For the cities that there weren't events going on, we tried to coordinate a meet/bbq at a shop, or with the locals we know.
We weren't aware of the JustDrift event (until now), and the folks over at Eibach were happy for us to have the meet there. The meet there is at noon, so perhaps once things wrap up there, we can swing by the event.

Let's do this!
See you soon, killa! We'll be out that way before you know it!
charlie is a great guy, if at all possible you definately need to hit up his event. last time i was there, it was the most fun ive had on the "wrong" coast in quite some time.
as much as i am down for just drift, i won't make it if you have the meet at Buttonwillow. I think a lot of people feel the same way. That drive is horrid, and i've been to events at buttonwillow in the middle of august, they are no fun.
The last one I went to was 107. The 2 years previously, the same event was 103 and 101. After that I said never again.
The IE might be mid 90's, but that's almost tolerable, especially since it's only 40 minutes away instead of 90.
buttonwillow is like a 2-3 hrs drive depending on traffic by the time u get there from leaving riverside u will be dead and lost.. oh and the smeel by the cow fields is enough to make u wake up after not sleeping for 16 hrs.. trust me i know... ^_^ eibach is fine with me close enough
We are definitely having the meet at Eibach. If we can make it out to Buttonwillow after the meet, we will do our best to rock it. I would definitely like to get out and tape some footage there.
Al, I'll talk to Joey and see what we can work out about the Drift Battle event! Thanks, buddy!
The way things are looking now, there is a solid chance we will be shooting after the dates posted. We want this to be a solid project that really encompasses the nation the best we can. We aren't forgetting about Hawai'i... that's definitely on our list of post-tour shoots.
We're doing some slight revamps to the schedule. We'll keep ya'll posted!

naw, i know where buttonwillow is. When we were coming back from Sonoma, the freeway over the grapevine is closed so we detoured through bakersfield halfway to barstow then south through palmdale and lancaster.
Buttonwillow is around 100 miles from LA.
The event i'm talking about wasn't a drifting event.

there might also be an all Z/G drift day on the 13th its not set in stone yet, but it would definitely be irwindale.
you guys should swing through cincinnati on your way to chicago we have a pretty good little event that is held every month with practices every tuesday. im sure ZEROLIFT would be more than glad to through you guys a barbecue and hold the meet at the shop.
We're leaving Atlanta here in two hours to set forth across the nation. We're going to try and keep ya'll updated with how things are going via our MySpace page.
I just wanted to clear a few things up before we head out. For starters... we aren't throwing (drift) events. We will be at a drift event, if there is one happening when we're in town... otherwise, we'll be meeting with the locals at a shop, or other location (like D.C.).
I'm not bringing my e46 with me to drive in each city. We want this to show the locals around the country... not me driving my car all over the country. I will actually have the e46 with me for the 1st week, because I have an NDRA demo next weekend, but after that, I'm bringing her home, and flying to St. Louis for the rest of the tour.
In the time that I've been drifting, I've had the opportunity to travel all around the country, and meet tons of awesome people from all walks of life, who drift at a grassroots level... I think they've got a lot to say about this sport, so that's sort of where this project stems from.
