It was at Lowe's in the parking lot across the street from the speedway... (the one you and I talked about...).... Being that my car and I are only 12 miles away from there I wish they would have called.... I might have been able give them some help.... (not that they needed it, but)

we havent locked down which nascar driver will be in which car. kasey will be in Sam's Viper. XMP is bringing out another mustang similiar to JR's Falken Mustang. Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth will share that car. I think Robby Gordon should be in Rhys' GTO b/c he is a GM driver. The rest we are still figuring out.
Everyone is going to be sharing cars. Even though Mopar is our title sponsor that does not mean all drivers or cars have to be Dodge. They are just a good partner to Kasey and stepped up to support this event.
there is a very good chance Kasey will build a drift car. he will probably build a charger. he actually has been drifting his Mercedes E55 AMG all around town. After his first practice session he was hooked and decided to burn up his tires on his regular car.
we were at a parking lot in front of Lowes Motor Speedway. i didn't know anyone was from NC, we would have invited you over to hang out.

Man, I missed the event because of work. Jacob, thanks to people in NASCAR like you who put together event's like this for all motorsports fans. I follow drifting and NASCAR closely. I'm a huge fan of drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. and NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth (sorry Kasey). I think that this event is great to both drifting and NASCAR as it introduces the two different types of racing to two very different demographic segments. I hope this event brings and develops appreciation to both drifting and NASCAR from both sides of the fence.
Originally posted by JacobChillsthat is greg biffle. he is a ford driver. there are no pictures of any dodge drivers in a ford.
this car was just a training tool. the nascar guys did pretty good and will have more practice in a real drift car the day of the event.
you guys should remember that this is good for the sport of drifting and at the end of the day 100% of the proceeds goes to charity. the nascar guys have a lot of respect for drifters and this is a great example of it.

i am one of kasey kahne's managers and one of the promoters of the event.
i hope to see you guys there. regardless if you think nascar is lame or not we will still have the best drifters in the world competeing against each other for bragging rights.

After Kasey learned how to drift from Hubinette and JR he put his skills to good use during his celebration donoughts after his wins in the Busch race and the Nextel race.
It looks like the fun he had and the $150,000 he raised for charity at the drift event gave him the karma he needed to win both NASCAR races.
