    Hmmmm.....

Adam... not in that way... damn. What have you been thinking, ohh yeah, i told my mom about the 10th, she says thats cool, and if ur mom cant drive us, my mom can. And my mouse does suck.... mostly when i click the back button.... when im typing something up. ohh yeah... *looks away from his TV screen* sooo yeah, cant wait for next month, this meet (is guna be my first) is guna be cool. But i have one question, about the enrty... i was confused about it. Do we have to bring any money... besides if we need to eat. The only thing we have to do is just ask for Rob, and tell him that we are in the Drifting.com, and tell him our Screen Name for it, and boom, get in for free, and unlimited tokens. And i heard they have the Initial-D driving game there, and 2 teams are going to challenge each other on it, cant wait to see that if thats true. Peace.

Cars should only have a Manual tranny, only Autos for the old people..... Also known as the Granny Tranny! Ok, back to the point that i need to get up to. The reason why i said about only a 240SX with an SR20DET, is that i rather have the horse power there, and know that i have more than just a stock one. I mostly look at cars with 200hp... habbit. Money for putting it in is no prob, my dad is just about a mechanic on that part, he installed an engine for his old *Censored**Censored**Censored* truck a few years back. For the cars i look at is mostly the engine, it has to have at least 200hp, with some amout on torque near the hp, and the speed is another factor. The bdy can always be modded. SOooo yeah... Thats just about it. Leme know how lame that was so i can not ramble on... just got home from school, and tired, but hyped up. Peace.
        heh
yeah i see where you're coming from and all and that would be nice to have that 200hp plus the s13 sr20 does come with 200-202 stock i believe.. hp sometimes doesn't have to be the factor of drifting...i think killer drift suspensions is something that you'll need.. the engine too but i wouldn't go straight for it. but hey its your call and its your car so do what you want to it....the other thing is installing a j-spec engine somtimes comes with problems and hopefully your dad can get around those problems and get the car to opperate properly

Oh by the way. Sell the FF for sure. FR is the best way to drift. you could go FF with drifting but you would need some serious power and skill to pull it off.

              Nismo,

Actually if your parking brake doesnt work well when the car is stopped it needs to be adjusted at the wheels first. Tightening at the handle can damage the cable and still not give you the desired result. Depending on your rear brake type disc, drum, or disc with mini drum parking brake; It should be adjusted there first. Consult your vehicles repair manual if you have one or take it to a brake specialist. Brakes are the most important safety device on a car. Who cares if your car is fast and agile, if you cant brake properly, your in for a bad time. After the parking brakes are adjusted at the wheels and the lever is still weak the cable has a tentioner underneath to tighten, usually where it splits to each wheel or mid-cable. If after all that is done and your parking brake is still sloppy adjust at the lever or consider replacing the cable because its stretched too much and will likely fail with the rigors of serious driving eventually. About 99.9% of the time it just needs adjusting at the wheels. Especially if your car has rear drum brakes because as they wear down from driving they get more play in them. The parking brake just forces them out mechanically instead of hydrauically. Being an auto technitian and serious driver, It is my belief to never skimp when it comes to brakes. I know what it feels like to have brake failure at high speeds, Ive broken a few parking brake cables too. Its not a pleasant feeling. Good luck...

[B]Hey, what up everyone. Just needing some help with my lil car situation. I've got a 1994 Pontiac Bonnivle SSEI Supercharged, and my dad is trying to seel it, so i can get something in the $6500 range. Now, my question is, i need help on a good car to start drifting in. well... Drift/Street race in. Im a Fan or the 240SX, but only with the SR20DET in it, the MR-2 Spyder 2nd Gen, the 300ZX, and the RX-7 3rd Gen. [QUOTE]

                Hey EngelAzreal,

The Boniville is a heavier car and the engine is matched with it by design. SR20's are nice to have but its not always the car but its driver. But there is the power to weight ratio to consider. There is , in the northwest, alot of 240's s13s and 14s that range $2K-$4K that are great platforms to build from. Id suggest picking up a descent 240 for 2-3k and use the rest of the 6500 to upgrade its suspension, brakes, wheels, and any other work the stock powertrain needs. Get used to the feel of the car you might like it as is. Save some doe then look at a SR20 or a JDM front clip. If you can do the work yourself or have a hook-up on cheaper parts your gonna get more drift for the buck <ya 1 cheezy point for me>

                Have fun....

                  good point

but i think itd be better if he got the sr20 and then some cheaper suspension upgrades because an engine change is pretty major and might take a lot of time to get used to, if he practices with the 240 with the sr20 than he wouldnt have a lot of change in driving techniques.......but hell what do i know..........really i dont know a whole lot

                    Thx guys!

Sweet, like i said, ive been looking at a lot of 240SX S13's and S14's.... I havent been lucky to find anything yet for that cheap.... that still runs. This weekend or sometime i have to wash my Pontiac, and get it cleaned, so me and my Dad can put it on Autotrader. Hmmm.... just rememberd.... i dont have a job... frikin school, have to have good grades to have a job. Soooo... yeah... I know where your going at with the Suspension, it would be a new way the car starts to turn, or slide into a corner. I also know how Panda is saying for the Engine, cus it can be a little harder to get used to the new engine and how it performs. Welp, school is needing my *Censored**Censored**Censored* to go to it, so ill cya guys lator, and have a good day. Peace
