Rockstar: Tanner in Dai out

Tanner Foust and Stephan Papadakis linked up with Rockstar Energy Drink for 2008 to have a sponsorship for their 2008 season. It looks like Rockstar gained a relationship with Tanner Foust first in rally and through the X Games. It appears that Daijiro Yoshihara is no longer being partnered with Rockstar. 2008 should be interesting.

It would be kinda ironic if Tanner falls off, and Dai rises up.
Its not like Dai had bad year, just Tanner had a slightly better one.

Yes but Tanner drive with Rockstar in the X-Game & win too. i think it's just because this, not only the drift scene!

I feel bad for Dai. He kicked so much a$$ before and during his association with Rock Star. Dai and his car is announced by FD to be the most popular amongst fans in 2007 if I have not mistaken. He just fell shy of Tanner by a hair in 2007. Unfortunately, there is really no mercy when it comes to business decision!

Nevertheless, congratulation to Tanner and Stephan and team AEM!

Best of luck to Dai! I am sure he will continue to rock in FD.

Dai and Jerry's whole team were GREAT ambassadors to Rockstar, I don't think they will have problems finding a new sponsor.

it seems like more and more, non-endemic sponsors are looking to work with multi-sport / multi-faceted athletes. Tanner's rally / time attack experience help him to secure large sponsors like Rockstar.

Good luck to both drivers, I'd love to see both of them back in the top 3 in '08!

This really doesn't make any sense to me. At first glance it looks like Rockstar bailed on Dai just so they could pick up Tanner. Why not keep both and have two of the top three drivers on one team?

Tanner and steph are both sponsored by Rockstar this year. Probably not enough budget for all 3.

The Pac Rim has been working on a few opportunities for a while now. Things just need to get finalized.

There are a few companies that might get on board. They like Dai...he cusses obliviously when he talks...how could you not want to be his friend?

tanner is much better suited for rockstar. POSTERBOY CHEEZE GRADER! tanner is gonna make it to every event/ qualify for every event and do well in every event no matter what sponsor he has at this point so its whatever
