you should create fun with your money. give out gas cards to 3-5 guys and create a team that way. in return for your investment, you get an all access card to their coolness, and they take you along to the events, take you partying, keep you drunk at all hours. if that doesn't work and you want to bring your son along, everyone can keep it super low key and give him rides, let him work on the cars, hang out and drink soda.

for just gas money you could help out alot of capable teams, like me : )

then as they turn into assholes you just cancel their gas cards lol.

you could bring out starving bands to play music at events in the pits too by promising them contracts you'll never give them, or use your leverage as a person with money to get sponsors involved, instead of using your own money.

us drifters could also take you to sema, get you into all the private stuff there. teach you and your son to drift and road course, let you borrow our shifter karts and drift cars to play with, show you where the cool kids do stuff and keep you away from people that suck in the drift community.

anyways, about the only thing drifters can provide is bonafide cool points and fun, and destroyed cars and debt.

Our driver has already place TOP32 and TOP16 out of the two events attended this year. His name: Yasu Kondo, a rookie to Formula D but long time drifter from Japan. Formula D judges have already recognized our drivers potential and have good feedback on his overall driving, He is able to do the impossible in a 200 horsepower car. Driving against cars with twice the power Yasu has in his Corolla, his skills really do shine in making an impact and getting good ratings overall. Just at vegas 300+ horspower cars were entering at an average of 87-90MPH when Yasu provided with only 200RWHP was entering at around 90+MPH! It goes to show that his skills are very consistant and good enough to keep placing top32 and top16 for the next events to come!

I would like to get in contact with you to discuss potential possibilities about this topic. Please feel free to give us a call: 888.522.KAAZ

    Hope to hear from you!

Wow. A corporation asking a privateer for a financial sponsorship... I didn't think I'd see this happening, especially so fast.

This is kinda bordering on the verge of sad / pathetic...

    lol @ Tommy's comment.

As far as possible interest goes with Tommy Suell & Forrest Wang, I can vouch for both guys as I know both of them personally. Both are amazing drivers and very humble guys.

If your interested, I have two videos that I've put together for both drivers from the last 2 weeks.

    Forrest Wang
    Tommy Suell

Also, if you need any future video services, I can help you out.

Good luck in your future ventures, and I wish you the best of luck in your search for a new driver!

    Hi Ruth,

First and foremost I feel for your situation and can not believe this has happened. Although we have seen your team not do so well this season, it is unfortunate for a situation like this to occur.

I am an drifter in Ireland and can not belive what i am reading. For one someone with no drifting experence would pay all that money. and it seem its more than a deal gone sour if ya know what i mean. think it all a wind up. as for drift-avengers i really dont think you are who you say who you are. Ireland has some of the best drifters in europe now and only a hand few get sponcered.

    Hello Ruth.

I am not very good at drifting, and I have a piss poor attitude it seems.

I'll brush tons of walls and stuff with the car and I'll definitly need you to lose the crap city graphics scheme.

Let me design the car and then drive it.

I'll probably never make top 32, but at least the car will look cool.

    Private Message me.

I think it's funny... the second any drifter hears about money, they want in. I'm sure if you offer $3k per month and a free ride to get anywhere, and financial backing to tune a car up to their liking, you'll have 20 drivers standing in line for a shot to drive.

    Drivers mentioned in this thread:
    Colin Frost
    Just Pawlak
    Dan Pina
    Nate Brasz
    John Rusakoff
    Bill Sherman
    Forrest Wang
    Henry Schelley
    Cyrus Martinez
    Riley ?
    Sean Love
    Ryan Litterel
    Steph Verdier
    Alex Pfeiffer
    Doug VanDenBrink

    Offers of help from:
    Myself
Jay (original owner of the car)
    Tree
    Chris Rhoad
    Impulse Drift
    Ross (Dead Pirate)
    Double M Star

... man... drifters are some broke peeps!

Ruth - This just shows you that if you have money, there will be 10 people waiting to help you with your team. Some are qualified, some will just see the dollar signs. If you are taking this seriously, you should consult some of these people and ask for their opinions. I think some of the drivers mentioned in this thread are better than others for the seat in your car. But I'm sure if you ask 10 people for their opinions, you'll get 11 different opinions (because at least 1 person won't be able to make up their mind). If you want to run this team like a professional team, it might be a good idea to have an interview process for a team manager (who has experience and can help you make decisions and run your team) followed by a tryout at a track to see which drivers have the best skill. Take the top 3 skilled drivers and interview them with your team manager for personality and professionalism. Then, make a decision on a driver, draw up a contract (i'd suggest performance-based), set out a plan of attack and some attainable goals for the season (for you, the driver, and the sponsors), and take this sport on properly.

Nobody has $150k to waste away, especially chasing someone else's dream. But money brings out the worst in people, so you need to be prepared for that. Again, I apologize that this situation has come to fruition, but if you're serious about drifting and helping people out, this is a great opportunity to make things happen.
