You just don't get it - it's a joke that's not worth explaining...

Before I knew drifting was a common thing I was accually drifting.

I was always into drifting....pppppppshhhhhhhhh ok so I can't lie that well. When I was younger like 12 or so I was all about expensive european cars. BMW's and Ferrari's mainly. I also loved cars with mad horsepower for some reason. Then I got into offroading. Never really got hardcore into that. Fast and the Furious came out and I loved the movie. Never really got into the whole street racing thing but I'd like to accel fast at times not racing others. Then my cousin was all into drifting and never really got into it till race wars last year and I was totally hooked on it. I really wouldn't call myself a drifter but, I rather watch cars drift then see who can go fastest in a quater mile. I like riding along with people more than doing it myself cause I'm always afriad of messin up my car.

since i dont have a car yet and i just got my learners permit a few months ago i dont really have anything to say about my experence with cars and everything before drifting and all but oh well.but before that i found out about drifting and before i even got my learners permit i was always into racing and cars. most of my family drives like crazy anywhere so anything that went fast i wanted to be in it because i came to enjoy it. also ever since i remember i found out about go-karts when i was still young i got addicted and always tried to find a way to race on the track with them. then came when i found out about videogames and i got my first racing game crusin usa for n64 (my first game for the system) and arcade games. bascially from there it was watching some nascar and other things but mostly videogame racing, especially daytona usa. that is still one of my most favorite racing arcadegames i play, also the oldest. now i am just waiting till i can get a licence and save up for a car and start to learn how to drift.

I was into street racing and low riders. I had a neon--still do--and yeah I know these car suck-. the motor is built and used to run nitrous and the other imaginable crap that you can bolt on- I also had a grand am with a huge stereo (It hit 152 db) and hydro-air suspension-obviously this was the lowrider. Looking back it was a waste of money as I do not have any of ths stuff anymore-the neon is my daily driver now. I think basically ever since I had a car -since like 95-- I was "sliding" it in some form-i learned what drifting was in 99 I think. If I would have to say what I would be doing now if I never knew what drifting was it would be "sliding" I did it before and I just thought it was cool cause I could control the car and make it go where I wanted it to. Weather I would have a 240 or not I do not know that -but I would have a rwd car of some type for sure

Everybody here should pool their resources and try to get something together. We could at least start a simple Drifting newsletter, and it could grow into something bigger, kinda like Grassroots Motorsports did.

I'd be willing to contribute graphics, pictures i took at the D1 and opinion articals. As well First hand accounts, of things like the Laguna Seca event im going to this weekend. Why not starting getting stuff together and compile it into a E-mail Newsletter.

In fact im going to put together some kind of sample, you guys e-mail me anything you think we could use, Ideas, articals, opinions etc.. tech stuff would be great. pictures, just send it to nissanguy_24@YAHOO.COM
