      FF Drift

If you go faster then the corner allows and let off on the gas.

Today i took a corner fast and all i did was let off the gas and i counter steered the whole turn, while sideways i might add.

Yes, cars will understeer. This is why you're new here. You're basing things off InitialD. As great as Initial D is. it has its unrealistic sides. FF's do understeer but it's easy to fix that with things like suspensions or even just increasing tire pressure. Unless you have experience in ACTUAL drifting please do not comment on things such as FF drifting as though you know about it.

If you want to see real FF drifting Yates I can hook you up with the best FF drifter in Hawaii. His name is Kyle Arai and he drifts a red Box Civic (srry cant remember the chassis code). He was recognized at the last Drift Showoff here in Hawaii. I'm sure he would be down to let you record some mountain runs (this guy is badass on the mountain), but you'll have to ask him yourself. He is also on these message boards under the user name KYLE ARAI.

i guess that im the only escort drifter left...lol. granted mine is a 2 door hatch back and not a wagon, and an automatic....
you can drift through usin the E brake but i usually dont brake at all now, i just turn the wheel fast into a sharp corner and i throw the b!tch sideways and hold the gas down, then turn the wheel the other way and "inertia drift". it is fun. the first time i ever did it was in the snow on a nice 90 degree turn about 5 months ago...since then ill i have done is practice getting it sideways in the rain, and dry *Censored**Censored**Censored* fault. i went in the mud a few times...and some dry dirt, i still like smooth asfault the best tho. But when i can get some digital video you guys will see who the best FF drifter is...even in an automatic

                  Initial D

As great as Initial D might be (i have only seen 2 episodes and read none of the manga), anyone that quotes or referse to I.D. has to be a poser.

Go out an actualy drift a car and then come back and b*itch how an FF can't drift, or anything else you want to complaina about.

Let me just give you your props, that is Helluva-Good.
As for braking techs, i usualy don't brake at all around turns and just let the car naturaly get side-ways.

I use to e-brake around everything but then i just got tired of pulling my brake so i started to just let the car go to see what would happen, not to mention that the e-brake didn't work that well to begin with.

Alex, I am sure you understand the benifts of your appearance in the Grip videos, for both you and your sponsors and your company Battle Version....

As for the mopeds, balance and brake control is a beautiful thing, but it takes something more to get on a $10,000 bike that weighs 400#'s and slow a wheelie down to 3-4 mph

Instead of posting negative things, why don't you find out more about me and what I have to offer and then make and educated decision about me and my project.

Alex has a point though man. Media companies do make a lot of $$ of the footage they are selling. Rarely would any of this $$ make it back to the people doing the driving or the event coordinators. Even a free party after the event would satisfy a lot of people, but usually you never see them again and then you're out on some video. Exposure is good, but $$ builds cars, buys tires, and buys track time. I'm not saying what you're doing is wrong, but this is a drivers perspective (I'm a driver too and I feel the same way sometimes). Alex's comments might be viewed as negative, but they bring up some things drivers should think about. Sometimes you'll find people that consider the Exposure more usefull than $$ (this is how Dave is). To each his own. About 6 months ago I decided I wanted to do something that would directly benifit the drivers. I plan to edit and release a DVD of all the Hawaii Drifting Event coverage I have (over a years worth) with a large majority of the $$ going into a fund that will pay for Hawaii's top event winners to travel to the mainland to drive. The $$ that does not go back to the drifters will be used to offset the costs of the video equipment. Just need to find the time to get everything edited ...
