  • Im torn, I am for and against the viper competing.

Heres why im for the Viper - Organized drifting is still young in America. You people forget where we are at, USA. You would want a pinnacle of pushrod, torque, and amazing horsepower to represent drifting in the states. The viper seems to be the front runner. It screams, its big, loud, and very intimidating. Everything old muscle cars were back in the day. I myself would like to see an american car on top of the mountain. If I could,

Against - It is a little overkill for such a competition. I think Sams car has more in it than Tarzans viper. It pushes the edge between legal and illegal. I also dont like the complete mopar backing. I have the utmost respect to the guys who drive their competing cars to the track, and fix what goes wrong themselves. I like the fact that Gushis car is within reasonable reack to people like you and I.

Seriously though, how could you turn down the oppurtunity to drive the mopar viper. Would you honestly say "nah, ill pass and stick with my daily driver"

The viper can be beaten, Goosh has proved that. To the pros (for whatever this is worth to you guys) Keep up the work. Chris, you have been behind Sam the whole time. You have insane skill bro. Goosh, what can I say about you. This is the prodical son of drifting. Earnie - I actually jumped up and down when I saw you drive against Imamura. You had him all the way. Sam - you big bully. Enjoy the taste of victory and keep representing the USA. You all are our soldiers. Congrats to you all.

We aren't talking about a Viper GTS or a SRT-10 we are talking about a Competition Coupe Viper.Aside from sharing the same engine and shell, they are not similiar.Have you seen a stock a Viper? Compare it to a competition coupe,I can tell you there's a hell of a lot more work done to it.If they were that similiar.one car wouldn't cost $60,000 more than the other now would it?

Take note of the Mopar symbol on the flyer.

            • i would like to see the viper go against some of the d1 drivers and it probably couldnt win on tracks in japan because that big *censored* thing couldnt drift as good as it does in these parkng lots *LOL*

                    • remember the viper is a big fat pig. That course layout was hurting the viper, because the car picked up way too much momentum. To put it in perspective, Sam does a better job drifting the viper compared to Tarzan. Sam was an ice rallyer, do you know how insane that is? The man has skills, his lines were consistant and clean, on a very technical course layout. He deserved the win.

As for the Hawaii drivers, ross failed to qualify, he is still getting used to drifting an FD. Ross is also a e brake grabber, and the FD's ebrake wasn't grabbing, oh well it was a test and tune anyway, i hope everyone liked the car.
Barry failed to qualify, and Steve O put up a good first run against Rhys, but was eliminated at 16th place.

                        • I think that is a great idea. Let the viper go to JAPAN and compete against all the japanese D1 drivers. I personally would like to see the viper get whooped by N.O.B. or Kazama. Talk about handing something on a platter-a big platter I might add

                          • also the d1 guys drift the whole track, not just 1 or 2 turns.

                            • actually they do only drift a few turns they are judged on a couple of turns like 3-4 I believe... not the complete track

                              • Gushi hit his front bumper, & leaked his oil all over the track. He then borrowed Ernies car, but because of the different set up, he wasn't competitive and lost that round.

The best run was the Supra against the Viper, and JR from team falken put on an awesome drive.
