I think he was refering to canada's 15 year importation law, so as of now you can only get CA powered K's, in 2006 you'll be able to get an SR powered one. But for a first car, take it from me, You'll want something without to many hassles. But that's my $00.02

Exactly. That was the rule I was reffering to.In a little over two years,I can finally get that Mazda RX-7 Type-R.Or just wait half a year for an RZ,which is 66.1 pounds lighter. With the extra shedded weight, that creates around 6.601 hp more over the Type-R.Even so,the Type-R is better than the R1 and R2 .

Another good thing.RX-7's over here are rare,so the price for them is quite expensive.Where they're lots of FD's in Japan to go around, that makes them quite a bit cheaper. Then just throw in $2200-2300 to get the FD,it's all good.

Bad Idea. First off if it had rust already and its a 91, it must have been left out for winter and also driven in the winter. And then the other problem about it shaking through the gears???? I dont know about you but i really wouldnt feel safe driving that thing. It definately sounds like a tranny or rear end problem. My brother has an 86 trans am and if he reved it up to 3500rpms to get it moving in first, the tires would roast off!! If you are a person with lots of money then it would be a good project, but dont buy it if you are one who is not ready to work on a car with problems.
