Personally i don't like the CTS model. I think the XLR would make an even beter drift car. But did any of you see the new vette. The new vette looks like it would be a real good drift car besides the fact that it has like 500 pounds of useless weight. I swear to god why would you put luxury interior in a sports car. Well anyways just my opinion. Oh and another one of my opinions, putting "just my 2 cents" at the end of a sentence is extremely gey. Just say opinion. And sorry if i offended anyone im not trying to sound like a jerk. Maybe its the lack of sleep.

It does, I think he was just refering to all of the luxury items. The reason that they are in there is because when most people spend 50k on a car, they expect it to have some niceities. Especially Vette owners. These guys are notoriously gold chain and more interested in people looking at the 60 year old asses as they cruise by at 20 mph. Over half off all Vettes are sold with automatics. The Corvette demographic no longer cares about having a hardcore sports car. Plus the car is starting to get into the Porsche 911s, and similar cars price range. So if Chevy hopes to still any customers they have better make an all around great car. That is why the 500lbs of extra crap is in those cars.

Hey I would love the factory to sponsor me.....Its funny that this discussion just started about the corvette C6....Boy are there a lot of misinformed people here.....
this just in...
Ryan Hampton has just drivin' the Corvette C6 today at Atlanta Motor speedway...
It is an awsome car and the curb weight is 50lbs lighter than the C5 not heavier. where did you here that? and add 50 more HP to it..
We drove the car aginst the Porsche Carrera and it kicked the crap out of it!
Before you bash the Vette, drive one first, it is honestly one of the few cars I have been impressed with lately...
I am doing the product launch for this car right now.....In fact I'm supposed to be up in 3 hours and go to work...god I spend too much time here..

Oops,
I forgot the new Vette has two,..Read IT,..... TWO!!!
Big cup holders also...
Sorry forgot to mention that...
Also....Guess what the MSRP is on the new Vette?
Not the $50,000 you think it is..
The MSRP on the hard top is 42,000 on the C6 and goes up to 45,000
The convertable is 48,0000Last edited by RyanHampton; 08-10-2004, 11:07 PM.

Hey I wasn't bashing the vette. I merely said it had too much weight, even though it is lighter than the C5. I like the fact that the new C6 is shorter than the older model, but it has a wider wheelbase. Its a sick car but it just has too much dead weight. Vettes would also be alot cheaper if they didnt put all of that stuff in. How much do you think it would cost to buy one if it didnt have any of that luxury crap. A 35,000 dollar vette. Oh thats sweet necta

the c6 i havent ridden in yet, but looking at the specs the c5 z06 owners arent gonna like getting owned at a track day by c6, which looks entirely possible looking at a spec sheet. i cant wait to see one in action
