Well, seeing how in all reality you can get neither of them legalized here, my bet would be to get the IS300 and rebadge it. But that's alot of expensive metal to be hurling around if you are a beginner and i'm pretty sure you are. So grab a 240.
Honestly,I love the chasers. If I was a man with a fairly good job in Japan,I would definitly have a Chaser as a daily driver.Great four door car with enough power to push you in the back of your seat.
why is it not legal in america? (please dont flame me)
Sadly, the Toyota just never brought the Chaser over. The engine was used in cars over here,so emissions wasn't an issue.I guess they just decided there wasn't a demand/it was suited to the USDM market.
I wish North America had similiar laws regarding importing as Britain.Just pay somewhere in the neighbourhood of 2,000 pounds and your good to go.Too bad that isn't so.In America, all cars not built for the USDM cannpt be imported unless they have been thoroughly tested and modified to suit the USDM.There's one exception, that being that cars over 25 years can be imported.
*Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* an Altezza! I'd sell my *Censored**Censored**Censored* on the corner for a Chaser!
