Attacks are bad... I agree, but I think another issue is people acting like noobs. (Starting threads in wrong section, posting wrong info, asking without searching, etc)

nissanguy_24, I think its really bad. There is at least one thread everyday that is in the wrong section. At least. Not to mention the other sh!t. Im starting not to even want to come here... and thats pretty bad. This site was never like this when I first started posting, and I know you know that nissanguy_24. Wtf happened.

BUT, I wont give up hope till I see 4 FF threads in a row.

I like these forums...They're very liberal...But sometimes people obviously take advantage of it. I just registered on honda-tech recently(Yes,I'm a honda guy), there are a lot of bad and edgy people on there...They're are a lot of scammers in their classified section, and huge number of veteran flamers. Some bad newbies here wouldn't last 5 minutes in those forums. You have to wait 2 weeks to be a complete registered member. And plus you have a rating system based on a 100 scale. If you go down to 0, you are GONE...Sometimes I wish drifting.com would have features similar to honda-tech...

Well lets not turn into honda-tech then...17 might be the average age...Since we have tons of 14 year olds, some guys in their late teens(me) and quite a few guys in their 20s...Thats what I'm estimating...

To start off, sorry if my "Im In Israel" thread was a little (actually alot) off topic. first, let me explain. I like Drifting.com, yes there are the noobs, yes there are idiots, but overall, ive learned ALOT on this site. i posted that thread so people would know whats up with me. From the responses i got, i really understood that people cared about other people on this site, i didnt get flamed, and even Winding Master asked me to keep it updated. I know it was supposed to be in off-topic but like 14 people read the off-topic section.

I am with U nissanguy, this place has turned into a bit of a zoo, but fomr what i see, its still one of the best forums on the net for people who want to know about drifting. and once again, of course youll have ur noobs, but hey this is the internet, and theres not much we can do about it.

so, while we can never actually clean this place of all noobs, we can try to improve it and jsut help them.

Well we are always going to get new guys here because this is basicly the first stop on the internet for drifting. thats something we have to accept. Its one reason i had the new to drifting forum created. Sence we are going to have them i say we invite them and educate them the best we can.

When people are assholes it makes it very intimidating to post, i really dont like that at all. So i want to keep that off the forum. Once thats off then we can worry about molding the young guys, or the guys who have not drifted yet into good intelegent drifters.

This place it not near the zoo it was when Nissan and I first started. But it IS going down the slide. Looks like it's time to step up the anti-terrorist threat level again. If you are new and want to give out info, don't come on here and bust out on people to try to get your info heard. I will personally shut you DOWN if you do that. Myself and everyone here like to hear good info, hell we love it. But if you put someone else down to share it, you are gone. I don't care who you are, who you drive for, what you drive or how good you are. You will leave head first. Promised.

But, this happens every Friday night. Friday nights are troll nights Power is delegated out on these forums very liberally. The Admins don't like to dole it out as freely as on other forums, they like to keep a more hands on approach to their site. Nothing wrong with that, but if none of them are on, which is rare, we can't really do anything except close threads and send out warnings. I personally would like to be able to ban people, none of the mods at this point can. I would lay the smackdown fast as I know the other mods would too. I see the logic in the Admins keeping the higher power to themselves though. It all works out. They are most always on during the peak Troll hours anyway.

So everyone bear with us, this crap will get shut down soon. The mods that are on staff will see to that.

hehehe it's the new kids that used to be into hondas that are coming on to this site. They don't want to see drag racing go away and be replaced by drifting.... lol just kidding. Nah I believe it's just the image of this whole import culture, kids come on here thinking they know everything and want to bash the other kid that thinks they know something. It's like that with anything new and popular.

I have seen on other forums a rating system or a warn system (normally under the user's name)... is it feasible talking to the admins about setting something like that up here. Would it even be beneficial?
