    Hey Rado!

There is a guy on the boards who posted a thread in the pics/vids forum with him drifting his Tacoma truck. So it's not impossible thats for sure He had a custom turbo setup and it was an older tacoma as far as I know.

I've enjoyed reading your articles in SCC (never picked up the issue w/your infamous drifting article though, lol) so keep up the good work!

And yeah, Dave Coleman is my all-time favorite magazine editor in general, technobabble (hope I got that right) is probablly one of my favorite articles in each magazine. No offense

    Voila! Tacoma drift pics thread:

The only big things that kinda got me on the article was the ego part and the other part regarding the appearance of the cars at D1 being compared to Nextel Cup Cars. One fails to mention that cars like that are tube frames dressed in fiberglass. That's why they look fresh the next week: New body. Most of the time, they usually have a several cars per driver as well. I doubt the cars you see at D1 have tube frames, fiberglass bodies nor do I see half a dozen backup cars per driver.

You could probably keep the tacoma clean pretty easily, since it's body on frame. Just buy two identical bodies and keep one for backup, have someone wax one while you use the other one. (Don't worry, it's only a half serious suggestion)

        ---

Coleman are teh own. Before this month's issue came out, a friend of mine was considering trading his WRX wagon for a cheaper Forester. I immediately got to wondering what other subaru parts fit...and Dave answered my question(s) before I had even asked one. I love you Dave. More than my boyfrr...errr...nobody heard that.

Dont encourage him to get an AE86. Too many people are starting to buy the AE86. Thats just what the corolla community needs, prices on AEs going up. More people wanting the AE86. Dont encourage enyone to get one. Leave them to the corolla guys. You know AEs arent only used for drift cars. This isnt just towards you craftsman either, its adressed to everyone. As for you Rado, good luck with drifting. , but stay away from AE86s .

Hehe, he said toyota was only giving him a car that was made by Toyota (no lexus's) and was currently in production. I'm not sure about you but I haven't seen a RWD Corolla in quite come time

See i dont mind bringing back rear wheel drive corollas cuz everyone would want them and prices on the old school corollas would go down.

Hell, I'd pay up to 20,000 bucks for an underpowered Double Wishbone RWD car.. with no options on it...

                    Matt.

Naw, I really don't like an open top car. I'm a hard top addict... Convertibles are overrated in my opinion. Anyways, Rado, you can't get yourself in an old Supra?

                            Matt.

Christian good to have you here. I was sad to hear that you guys couldn't run you're new 2.4T Celica drag car, I was looking forward to seeing that beast. What I'm wondering is do you know exactly why NHRA canned the TRD V8's?, I've heard rumors that it was because they were running numbers that were superseding pro stock.

p.s. I was also wondering if you know what Manny Cruz is running in that new Cougar of his. It looks like John Mihovet's old 4.6 TT drag car.

Once again, he said toyota is giving him (from what I understand) any toyota vehicle to drift as long as it's in current production and not a lexus.

From what I can tell he's getting a free ride (pun intended) from toyota if he uses an in-production car to drift. But, yeah a Supra would be badazz..
