    ok...

well, i did about 5 mins of research, and found this at [URL=http://www.lextreme.com]

"Yes, a LS400 was swap with a 2JZGTE and its still not running properly yet after 8 months. The physical conversion is easy, but getting everything working properly is a pain. Electrical componants, Gauges, Indicators, Sensors and even A/C control. Secondly, the conversion is not cheap either. We are talking about 10-12k for the conversion and that is just the base hp like 320 bhp and expect the car to be down for the next few months. If i have 10-12k would i do it? I would use that money and build a forged internal and run a huge single turbo in a 1uzfe."

this is from someone who HAS swapped in a 2jz, so please dont say it will be cheap and easy because you checked it with your friends.

unless you have 10k to blow on a 2jz swap, your 1uzfe has plenty of potential. (if you dont know what a 1uzfe is, it's the engine in your car)

edit: why do i even bother? obviously you have no passion for cars if you dont even bother doing research, or instead of using an excelent powertrain you instantly want to swap it for a cool supra engine.

yeah theres no way it will be cheap. A sc sjz is a 13k swap at Sound performance. But yeah if your a rich kid do it but it will take a lot.

leave ur car alone, drop it, and fix it up, its a 1uz-fe, some people want that in cressidas, compared to a freakin 7mg, cope with what u can use. yes i've seen it in a cressida, i think

Nah the swap has been done before. It took me about 3 minutes of searching on google.com to find a website with info and pictures of someone in the USA who has already done the swap, as well as the shop that did the swap (that you can contact to get more info).

the torqu in the 1uz motor is there, but the auto tranny is its shortcoming

            do a 2j swap....its well worth it...

or just trade the LS for a friggen old school 1992 gs300 with a 2j subframe in it already!

Well I guess after all this ordeal, and facts that I've read, I don't think I'm going to go ahead with this right away. I'm just going to work on droping it, new exhuast, some deepdishes, and a mediocre sound system. The engine swap is still strong on my mind, and I know it would draw much attention :P
Thanks for you help everyone, I really appreciated it!

                  hi,

just wanna share that my bro LS400 1UZFE was swap with 2JZGTE from JZS147. Engine mount use back the Original V-8 mount just change left to right. Wiring was a headache as my bro op to maintain the original LS400 dash. Nonetheless, everything was done and running smoothly now.

                  a video my friend's posted http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDeRR...e=channel_page
