If anything why not guys? Maybe they'll be less "posers" if you have to drift naked.

Emery is trying to be funny by mocking Drifting Pretty even though he's never met any of us haha.
Chris and Tony are my good friends, I traveled to the HIN shows with Yokohama with Chris by my side. Tony was my drifting instructor this past weekend at DD20. They're both my cute sweethearts .Last edited by NadineToyoda; 10-28-2004, 10:12 AM.

I was drifting naked in a dream once... quite embarrasing, I too am growing tired of VERY INAPROPRIATE remarks twards female drifters. They are bad enough if they are in a different walks of life. Grow up a little before someone grows you up by kicking your *Censored**Censored**Censored*. (In no way am I emplying that I am going to pound you, or anyone else for being a *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored*. I hate people that bring personal anger crap to the track, it is stupid and dangerous.)
To try and re-rail this topic, what do you think about this topic, Nadine? Will you be driving in the Falken Drift Showoff? and WHEN THE HELL IS YOUR CAR GONNA BE DONE?

Happy B-Day. it is today (28th) isn't it?
either way...i think drifting pretty is a great program/team i just wish there was some type of program/team that would help out other drifters advnce and progress. seeing as how i'm not a girl. Oh, saw you and ben at the NFSU2 Launch party...Gushi's crash was drastic
what techniques of practicing would you suggest help someone progress quickly? And, could I have some money, because I've been counting coins for the last two days trying to get my rx-7 out of the shop (damn apex seals!). How do you think the US drivers will do against the Japanese in december?

For the past few months I've been practicing with Benson's Sileighty. I will not be driving in any more competitions this year. My car should be completed in early November, at which time I will be shooting a magazine cover and displaying my car at the D1/JGTC thang. After all my promotional stuff is done, which will be December, I will start driving my car again and practicing for FormulaD Or WDC (whichever one I decide to go with). I am doing this promotional stuff first, because after... I'm going to drift my car like theres no tomorrow and not look back when I crack my new aero hahahahahah!!! I already bought cute tape to tape up my aero.

Thank for your compliments on Drifting Pretty. I hope soon someone will start something up like that for guys. I saw a need for it for the girls because its so much more difficult for a girl to step foot on the track than it is for a man.
The keys to progressing quickly in drifting:
-Do it only because its fun
-Practice, practice, practice (on the track)
-Drive not only drifting events, but also Road Race
(http://www.speedtrialusa.com) and AutoX (http://www.solo2.com). Driving these other types of racing will teach you the fundamentals like racing line and the importance of tire pressures and car setup. Also it will help you get to know the limits of your car more.
-When you're not drifting, watch Option Videos. It sounds silly, but I've been seeing more and more how the top guys get good and that is from watching Option Videos over and over and over again. Pay attention to the in-car video and see the different styles the Japanese drifters have.
-At drifting events, go to the skid pad!!! Learn how to do doughnuts, tight doughnuts, wide doughnuts, 2nd gear doughnuts. There you will learn about countersteering and steering not only with your steering wheel but with your gas. All of this helps later when you're on the track trying to put it all together. If you can't do doughnuts you're not really ready to be drifting tracks.
-Most important of all...be in the right mindset. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Don't beat yourself up if you can't get it. Ask for help!! Kumakubo always tells us to drift with your smile...do it, it really works!!
I think the US drivers are getting better and better and better everyday. I think this year there will be a closer comparison between the Japanese and US drivers. The US drivers are getting good fast, maybe not this year, but I'm sure next, an American will win...hopefully an American GIRL!!!

Thanks Tim
I am going to committ to ONE series, either Formula D or WDC. I am sitting on the fence. I'm waiting to see what both series has to offer for the drivers. WDC may be working with Drift Association, if they do, that would bring me to be more confident that the series will treat the drivers well. No one knows much about WDC. I don't care what role Primedia plays in it, all I'm interested in is seeing what they have to offer the drivers...because we the drivers bring the fans! Only time will tell...
I'm going to bring 3 other women with me besides myself next year, so we are all deciding together which series to committ to. We'll ultimately end up with a series that welcomes women with open arms .
