Boo- you make a point on there are some things that are not needed for a drift car but this car was not created soley for drifting. It is his personal car and he has the right to do to it whatever he wants to. Even if it has parts that arent needed for drifting, does not mean it isnt capable of doing such.

Everyone needs to stop generalizing and focus on facts. If you dont like Teckademics then dont buy the videos but dont go spouting off because of your perception of a video and base his driving skills on that.
I said they'll just crash because apparently Teckademic's idea of "getting sideways" which I think means drifting, which is of course a technical racing maneuver, is doing a donut in the middle of the street.

Understood, like I said, I was only trying to help. I have experience with building these cars and what components are required and/or recommended. I can only offer help, it's up to the other person to want it.

Oh, ok. I think something other than that might've done fine, but ok. I see the humor.

Because you can personally attest to the driving skills of dan and dado? come on, like boo said base it on facts, not your apparently uninformed opinion

The D1 style of drifting is an art, not a race. The race style of drifting involes a driver that needs to lose a "little" traction to clear a turn while holding momentum. If you think drifting is a race then you have been watching way too much Initial D.

I'm not talking about their driving skills, I'm talking about what they say and what they put on their videos. He talks about "getting sideways" as a technical racing term, then shows people doing donuts in the middle of a street. Oh, and by the way, I've never seen Initial D once in my life.

I think you are taking the dateline story a litte too serious.
Remember who editied the story, Dateline did.
That was never in a video and we are talking about videos here.
I was trying to describe some racing terms. have you ever heard of a Scandenavian Flick? ever wonder why the Rally guys take to drifting like ducks to water..
                    They left that part out.
All I know is Activision gave us a game deal after the story aired.
So maybe to freak everyone out we will call it "Mischief Drift Battle"
Also your decription if ricers applys to everyone basically...

Do you let other people make your opinions for you? Seriously, get a life. Let me guess, the only reason you posted on this thread is to bash someone/something and make yourself feel better? Dateline did not show pure unedited footage. They could have had Sean saying he was a yellow rubber ducky if they wanted to edit it that way. Do you actually believe Jesus blessed a dude's peice of toast because the National Enquirer said so? Why dont you come out to one of the events in the mid atlantic and actually watch either Dan or Dado have a go at it and then make your opinion rather than talking out your arse.

Ok, I see. You are right. But from my standpoint, just seeing the vids that the company puts out, I don't like what I see. If these guys get out there and compete, then you're right. But I'm less than inclined to a company that puts out vids of people racing on the highway in their civics.

Come on guys really...is it really neccessary? BTW..I'm familiar with rally and that manuever is basically what we in drifting call a "feint" which we use to get more angle into a tight turn and not lose that much entry speed and still maintain control.

Dude look at the cover of the movie, there are no civics wtf are you talking about?? civics are popular and some have made it into the vids, but no one from Teck would be caught dead in one..
