Teckademics S14.5 Drift Car

I posted and put teka sucks *Censored**Censored**Censored* cause of the quality of their videos. i never said anything about the drivers of the car cause i never met them. But i hate teka cause their videos just help elderly, cops, concerned soccermoms see whats going on with some peoples poor decisions and make all teenagers with an exhaust system automatically basterds with a deathwish. Ive only had my liscence for a while. Im 17 but you know what, ive been working at a shop since i was 14 and driving on tracks since i was 15. And yes, im going for my ASEs this spring so dont tell me im a little punk who thinks i know everything. And ive seen some enourmous talent in kids who have only had driven for 2 or 3 years so dont think there arent teenagers out there that cant drive and you have to be 21 in order to know how to take a corner. And you guys really need to settle down cause this thread is gonna get NOWHERE.

Im still trying to figure out why you posted ? Nothing was aimed at you. I agree that there are some kids out there who know how to drive and have seen some track time. Are you trying to stick up for kids in your age bracket? You said this thread is going nowhere and you posted no new information about Teck. Like was said on this thread numerous time, if you dont like Teckademics then dont buy the DVDs, its simple economics. And I hardly think that Teckademics is the sole reason why people are so inflamed with import tuners. You honestly think that ignorant driving is limited to them? I think you are giving this company way too much credit if you believe that.

Lol, its cause kids buy these kinda videos and their parents see it and i get alot of *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* from people when i drive. Like they see me in a car, hear the exhuast, and automatically start flashing theyre brights and start cutting me off and not letting me merge even when im driving like a more responcible person.
Yes im sticking up for drivers in my age bracket cause AMG made a comment oh hes 14, go vtec. Just so you know i know a kid whos 15, owns a civic, and can KILL half the people on this board on a track. I also posted cause im tired of getting emails saying "reply to s14.5 teka", i check it out to see if anyone has any good info or anything to read and all i see is AMG raggin on someone cause they had their liscence for a year.

Not knocking you...but that quote there is pretty funny if you think about it, since half the people on this forum most likely don't even drive yet.. period. Please don't take offense, obviously you feel he's a good driver...so be it. But there's no real point in saying that...lots of people were racing before they had their actual license, including myself when I was single digits.

People do that to import tuners because every city in the country has crap on the news every night telling about how some kid died in a racing accident or how illegal street racing is worse than murder. Parents watch this dribble (that does have some basis) and believe that everyone with a fart can is looking to race and kill someone.

You can stick up for young people who are into "legal" racing but I can guarantee you that 85% of the stupid crap that goes on is due to people under the age of 20. The reason we were confronting "fourdoorskyline" is because all he did was flame and had no proof or anything constructive to say.

As for this thread, it went off topic from the get go. BooTTZ was the only one I saw who actually posted something about the car.

BTW- no offense but I never accept "my friend can" or "my (insert family member) can" comments.

Blaming Teck for making the Import Scene look bad is retarded.
Look at NFSU2, TFATF, Dodge SRT Commercials..
Take a look at the Saisoku DVD, The cover boasts "Illegal High Speed Street Racing" BANNED IN JAPAN.. they are trying to get a major dist deal in the US and have asked Teck to help.
Most companies would love to get in the game and we did it years ago..we started the whole catagroy in the Majors.
These big Corp. companies/productions ( not the Core DVD guys) make BILLIONS off the image.
They rarely give anything back.
On Dateline, we did a Teck Track day...
We do them all the time.
We rent a track and let kids in for cheap, to pay the track off and we race legal.
Dateline came and filmed the first one.
We expected 500 Kids max...
Well 5000 kids showed up.
Dateline did not even expose the fact that we put on the event.
That’s why we did the story, but Datleine spun it, like we knew they would, but not that bad..
I used to own Porn Star a multi million dollar action sports company. Teck has a major Action Sports influence, so we get the edgy persona, we are different from everyone else and we reep the rewards and backlash..Just like World Industries or any other core skate company. We were involved in the IASC Park building projects and led up the million dollar skate park in SB,CA with Shortys and Powell..
I talked about doing the same thing on Dateline with Drift Parks, or just giving kids access to open roads and parking lots, each city has a parks dept budget, its up to the city how to spend it, if kids and companies lobby for money they can get it. The city could support a safety/fire crew, the kids sign off and then they race legal and safe on a deserted road not used much or in a parking lot for Drift and Auto X. It will really help; give the kids the option, no pun intended. If you have a legal track every weekend, don’t race or drift in the city. Right now there is no option, It can be argued that there are race tracks, but look at Orange County Ca.. NOT ONE TRACK! And this is the Import Industry capital. Have any other companies in the Import Scene ever mentioned this NO, because they don’t know they can. Or they want to buy their own property and control you and charge you while marketing to you.
I don’t care either way. We need tracks to support the growing Import Population...
I am mentioning this now, I have done it before, and it’s easy. You start a foundation, start one Incubator Park, if it does well; you expose the world on how to do it..I challenge any company owner to pm me and talk to me about it..
The cops just want to put you in jail, not because of Mischief, but because the Import Image was f87ked from the start, when most of you kids were building car models in 92..
So don't knock stuff until you do your homework, or you will just look like a dumb kid.
Now back to Teck making the scene look bad...
In that start we did a lot of street racing, well now we don’t, Dado hates it and its boreing, we go all over the world and race with people on Cannonballs, we do Drift Events, Dado has done very well in US Drift, but the team is mostly back east and He has not been able to make it to the West Side where most of the exposure is, it’s OK because he is not ready yet and US Drift is a good little deal. Nothing to really brag about but fun and he learns on a track.
I agree that young Drifters are the future, just like Deegan (METAL MULITIA) who I used to sponsor at Porn Star, he was a Moto X racer. Then they did Free Style, it’s kind of like Drifting coming from Racing.
The freestyle moto x guys are all young because, 1. They don’t last long (action sports needs fresh troops), 2 they have no fear, 3. They love the sport, 4. They learn fast.
So you little guys practice, cause people like me who own companies might be sponsoring you guys and helping you pay for all that damage...
Support anyone from the Industry trying to get into Drifting; it’s the big corporate companies you should question.
They don’t care if you live or die, get arrested or anything, they just want to latch on to anything new and hot.
They will fleece the hell out of it, but if they support tracks and young driver learning, I am all for it.
Brook Burk telling me she does not condone street racing in the start of NFSU2 is a far cry.

No, like drift_e said, this is about the car which I guess means that you didnt actually read any of the first part of the post, way to be on the same page.
I personally am sorry to see you go. I thought we had developed a great bond over the past two days and was hoping to see what came of it. Who knows, one day I might open up my own tofu shop and need a hardnosed kid to run deliveries for me late at night. I shall think of you often.
